When you get to Luminae, see about getting Vikash as your server.

We had Marlon for most of the cruise and I could have spoken more about our experience with him, but he is currently in isolation as a contact trace and will not be back until Tuesday.

Vikash took over cold turkey and we were very impressed.

Just an option.

Randy

We loved Marlon!

Congratulations on your upgrade!

Your pictures, factual information and personal perspectives offer possible future cruise guests a real feel for the flair and ambiance of the ships you cruise on. I am sure you do more for Celebrity  sales figures than much of their advertising….Come to think of it, perhaps they should be paying you to sail!

Continuing to follow your adventures from a grey and wet England…

LOL.. to be honest I enjoy doing this.   The thread can go in strange directions but that what makes it fun.

Maybe they did pay me with this free upgrade.   It is my first in 21 years.   The upgrade fairy does exist.    I would expect that it set up a chain of upgrades.

Well 6 came and went but we are still sitting here.    Very relaxed on board and no one is bothered.   Just chilling and enjoying a 1/2 empty ship.   I heard the next cruise will be at 3/4 capacity.

Glad you are having a good time.

I will be interested to know if the Captain or any senior offices are seen out and about on your cruise.  We did not see the Captain or any Senior officers strolling around last cruise like we did on all our previous Celebrity Cruises.

Will try.    Is he in the front or back dining room.  We usually ask for the back room as it is a bit quieter.

Marlon was in the back room in January/February. He’s lovely.

Wow   --  I would have anticipated more people on the TA...

Jim and HRH lain,

Have a terrific cruise!  Enjoy every minute!  And a RS too!

I will be following your live report, certain to be enjoying every post.

Julie

I'm rolling on the floor...  I had to explain HRH to my British Husband.    --- I explained it as Her Royal Highness.     The RS is beautiful and they did a nice job on the Revolution. Pictures will follow

We are delayed due to late arrival of a truck with some maintenance material they needed before the crossing.

Thanks for the info.  I am watching the webcam and wondered about the delay!

Will let you know.   Haven’t seen them yet.

I found a way around the sideway posts.  If you edit and rotate the picture 4 time it posts correct.

That was how I was getting around it as well.   I only had to do it for pictures I took with the phone vertical.  If the phone was held horizontal when taking the picture it was not necessary.

Also, I noted on the TV they showed the Hotel Director as one person but the letter we received asking for comments on the ship and crew had another name for Hotel Director.  The name on the letter was the name given to me by the  Retreat Concierge not the name of the person shown on TV.

First sailaway attempt

Listening to the ship announcement is giving me lots of happy vibes. Feels like we're there with you. I also live how underwhelmed Iain looks in photos. Giving it his best dour Scotsman but in a good way 😉

Time to catch up.

We got up this morning at 8:30 and really have a touch of jetlag.   We had a nice breakfast before checking out at 10:45.

I got an Uber and took us maybe 10 minutes to get to the Terminal.   We dropped our bags at the Suites Check Off area and started the process at 11:00.

First up was the Document Check -

Boarding Pass

Covid Certificate

Test Results

Bermuda Authorization

We were then escorted to the elevator up to the Retreat Lounge at Terminal 25.   There may have been 10 people in there and an agent immediately greeted us and showed us to a seat.

Another agent come over and did the Formal Checkin -   A couple of snafus that were worked through.   We had to use our original room number as the computers were not updated but there were notes on the record.    We were then escorted aboard at 11:10.  The stateroom only to find our keys were for our old room and wouldn't open the door.   Quickly fixed and we were finally home.

We boarded before noon today, very quick (we had our Bermuda TA approved yesterday afternoon thank goodness). Saw on FB posting, there were couple of guys from Bermuda processing TA for the people who didnt have approvals (or did not know of the requirements), apparently 400 of 1200 passengers did not have approvals...

I sailed to Bermuda last September and they had folks in the terminal in Boston to assist with the forms as well. They even sailed with us to Bermuda to conduct onboard PCR testing that they required at the time.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they sail with you, too, to continue assisting with the forms.

Have enjoyed following all your final presentations.  Thanks for sharing in such detail.  Happy for you to have received some pretty cool upgrades. Must say I was excited to hear the Bridge Announcements.  Glad you are getting under way.   Have a wonderful cruise.

We did not see any on our March cruise either. Had Martin, Marlon and Martin in Luminae, great team. Too bad they had to isolate.  We tested positive 5 days after returning from our cruise.
