Schmoe38 Posted April 10, 2022 #477 Share Posted April 10, 2022 Jim We are so pleased to see that you and Iain have Dewa as your stateroom attendant. We were on the itinerary just before you, and we asked him to keep his eye out for you when you were originally in your CS. He said to us that his stateroom responsibilities were changing for your itinerary and that he would not be doing your CS. When you posted your new RS assignment, we knew you would now be in his good hands. He really is a “people person,” and we enjoyed our little talks each day. It is nice to understand the personal side of the staff on board who are helping us. If you get a chance, could you please say hello to him for us. Thanks so much. Rare Jim_Iain Posted April 10, 2022 Author #478 Share Posted April 10, 2022 Sunday April 20th Awoke to stronger seas today with a pronounced yaw. Got up at 8:00 (lost hour last night) I ran up to el Segundo Al Bacio for my first Coffe of the day. Just walked away from the counter and the ship had a strong yaw to port. CRASH 💥 plates and some of the serving trays went flying. 6

We will be on these same cruises NEXT year, so I'll be following closely. Have a marvelous trip. I'm sure you will love it. We have done mostly West Bound's and this is only our second East Bound. There is so much going on aboard that no one could participate in all f them.

I'm still trying to track down this year's ferry schedule as I'd like to take the ferry to St. George's. Only one up is last year's and it makes no mention of the Orange Line which is the one that goes to St. George's Monday-Friday. So it will be interesting to see what you find out. If we get off which I'm sure we will I'll take a picture of the schedule. I haven't even looked yet. I just Googled and found https://www.bermuda4u.com/transport/ferry-service/orange-route/ It says the Ferry to St. Gerorge is seasonal and will resume on April 21 - Guess we aren't going t St. George. We have also spent many holidays in America and found that restaurants close much earlier than in the U.K. We are really late dinners and usually go to dinner at 9:00. I'm not sure if it is normal for Silhouette but the dining rooms are open until 9:30.

It will be interesting to see the hours on the Spain / Portugal / France times. I've not looked yet. The staff believes the next cruise will have a large British passenger count.

Day 1 Dinner We went to dinner around 8:45 and it was really quiet as they said they had been busy early. There is a large British passenger load and it was suggested they were dining early. Amuse Bousche Ham and Cheese croquette decided on the Smoked Tomato Soup as a starter Prime Rib from MDR for dinner. I always get a kick out of the deserts. Their descriptions no way match what comes out. This is the Brown Butter Pear - It was yummy Yes, we Brits do often have an early dinner, (in our house anyway) we like a 7pm meal. That food looks amazing! Great photos 🥰 love me some food porn! 🤣 17 hours ago, Jim_Iain said: Received a nice floral arrangement from the Captain’s Club Team today. Beautiful flowers, how lovely that they were gifted to you. Small acts of kindness go such a long way, especially in these covid times. I might have to try and order these for my husband, its our 25th wedding anniversary when we sail 2nd May. They look great quality. Your suite looks like a small house! Wonderful. Am loving your review thank you 😊 Edited April 10, 2022 by louise1809
