Finally got our second sailing straightened out for our B2B, and also got the hump cabin that was open on both sailings!!  Just a little email to Lisa Luftoff-Perlo at the corporate office and in about

4 or 5 hours everything was in place.😊 Google is a great place to find all kinds of information!!

I received a phone call from the "office" letting me know that everything had been taken care of.

An email to her office if you were on the Christmas cruise voicing your disappointment at no compensation might get a bit of FCC or OBC

I would like to know why Celebrity is selling the FV Staterooms on the September 24th Solstice sailing when they have not yet moved over the guests that were originally booked in this category on the Millie sailing!!😣

This is completely unacceptable!

They're doing that on some sailings for suites as well.  Not right.

Remember that if you get a cabin you don't really like, you can change to any other cabin that is open within the same category for no charge.

It seems like Celebrity is being a bit more flexible with reassignments and allowing people to move to higher categories at no extra charge . We had originally booked 2C balconies on the Millennium. We were then reassigned to staterooms that were not acceptable to us on the Solstice. We called our TA who got us 1A balconies at no extra charge. No pushback whatsoever from Celebrity. They just moved our cabins to the higher category and price protected us. Very happy about the way that Celebrity handled it.

Same here! Still on the Millie same aft FV for September 24th but from Vancouver to San Diego.

Would consider it but the airfare to Vancouver is twice the $$$ and I paid and being charged for a 7 night sailing not 6.

After thinking about it, I kind of hope the change is permanent.  I think I like it better but also think it would be a god gesture to prorate the cruise to six days, though.  It would also be nice if they communicate their changes to us.  I so wanted to cruise on the Millie and that cabin .. wow!
We’ve always been treated more than fairly on Celebrity in the past.  I’m hoping they will do the right thing and prorate the pricing as well as communicate what they are doing with our bookings.

In place of waiting on the Retreat to open, we decided to switch from the 10/15 seven night sailing to the 12/03 eight night. We liked the itinerary better plus the temps in Mexico will be a little cooler. We wanted the Retreat and it was open. Price was very good.

When we got Lift and Shifted from a 14 night Solstice cruise to an 11 night Solstice sailing, our cruise price was reduced by the prorated amount.

That 11 night cruise just got cancelled by Celebrity and they Lift and Shifted us to a 12 nighter with no additional charge.

I was looking forward to the Retreat  Sundeck on the Millie  and the renovated ship.  But we do like the Solstice and are looking forward to visiting Mexico again.

For us it’s more about the balcony as we will use it more than we would the Retreat deck. The last time that we visited the Mexican Riviera it was early October and the heat and humidity was unbelievable and I grew up in Florida and this was even worse. 🙂 That was one reason why we jumped to the later sailing.

I have given up and just cancelled and asked for a refund.

Selling the FV staterooms before those who had those rooms on the Millie were transferred over was the nail in the coffin.

Changed our 30th anniversary plans to something completely different.

I understand that ships and itineraries can change but how Celebrity is handling the transfers from the Millie to the Solstice is not acceptable.

We've decided to cancel as well. This waiting has gone on long enough. I've really almost lost my Celebrity loyalty. I tried to cancel yesterday, but was on hold for 30 minutes before I gave up. Will try again today.

I'm also still waiting.  October 15 sailing, and it's still showing us on the Southern Caribbean itinerary while presumably the suites are being sold while we wait.  😞 I also see the price has gone down, but I can't take advantage of it until this is worked out.

I suppose canceling and rebooking is an option...

FYI there are a large number of cabins blocked out by Celebrity.  Also assignments and notification of your assignment are two different things.  We were assigned a cabin 2 weeks ago.  It showed on our trip planner last Friday.

Loyalty does not seem to even be a consideration at the moment.

I stuck it out and waited 67minutes on hold before I got someone who basically could have cared less.

Was sent the cancellation notice with the standard 30-45 days to receive the refund.

This is refund number 7 and transfer of funds number 10.

At this point I am willing to forfeit a very small FCC with them as I am tired of playing this game with them.

Its sad as Celebrity used to be our go to choice.

That’s exactly what I was hoping to hear.  I’m just going to be patient and give them a week or two to get our choices to us.  We will see what happens.  Fingers crossed.

We are currently river cruising in Portugal. I checked and saw that we were assigned to an extrememly forward cabin. I'm not a happy camper.

Sent an email to my TA, but he is in the air to Paris, and will  meet us in Barcelona in a few days. I don't want to mess with his cousin-time in Paris, but I hope he will be able to do something before it's too late.

Yes, I realize that my problems are very nice problems to have.

P.S: If you haven't beeen to Portugal, and it is not on your bucket list, it is time to add it.

When I called to cancel yesterday, I was on hold for 35 minutes, only to be told I would need to talk to a "redeployment specialist". That was another 25 minutes of holding. I have such a sour taste in my mouth for Celebrity- funny thing is, we are seeing a ton of commercials for them recently! We have recently been cruising on Princess, and that's where our loyalty is going. "Bye Celebrity", from elite passengers, you've lost us!

Same experience has trying to cancel your cable.

As I mentioned before, when we first got the notice of Solstice en lieu of Millennium, I was going to wait and see what new stateroom I might get for my 3 December 2022 cruise.

Then I went online with Celebrity to do a mock booking on Solstice, just to see what might be available. Many (50% I would guess) were blocked off but I spotted one cabin open, one which I have used before and quite prefer. So I booked it. At that point I had two bookings, the original on Millennium, the new one on Solstice.

I was intending to wait some more to see what new stateroom I might be offered as part of the shuffle, but after 2-3 days I went ahead, called Celebrity, and cancelled my Millennium booking. I believe that the Cancellation call was a week ago.

I have received my refund from the cancellation, posted back to my credit card. Seven days is not bad!

Bye.  Sorry we'll never meet.

Finally got my booking moved over to solstice. However it didn’t require an email to the executive office. They followed up and got it done within a few days. I had booked a family veranda on millennium and received the same on solstice - although it’s a much larger suite on the solstice, just not aft facing, which is fine!

When I spoke to them they said they are trying to get them all moved by mid May - just an FYI. Also if you booked flights by Expedia they will still be valid. I did however have spa passes purchased and those were cancelled. I can rebook but they are twice the price now 👎🏼

The FVs on Solstice are nice even though they lack the oversized balcony on Millennium.  Which deck is your FV on--7 or 8?

Agree - looks like the balcony is bigger than a normal one but set up different than what we would have had on millennium. I’m just happy the reservation was moved over so I don’t have to keep worrying!!

We got FV 8.

Nice.  We have been in both Deck 8 FVs on Solstice.  The balcony size is 6' 8" deep and 16' 9" long.  It is longer than a normal balcony (but standard depth) which is evident in the Reflection photo below.  There is a portion of the balcony that is well sheltered from the wind.  The views are nice even though the sky above is a bit obstructed by the overhanging bridge wing.  One added bonus is that you have two large windows in your cabin that overlook the bow of the ship giving you two distinct views.

Deck 7 FV balconies are considerably smaller in length and in my opinion, not desirable.  You can see how small the balcony is in the photo (directly below the red numerals "10" in the word "FV 8107" in the photo).  The views are heavily obstructed by the metal siding of the ship.
