LIVE..........Allure of the Seas...........May 14-----May 22, 2022................ "Just state the Facts Ma'am"

Recommended Posts

Good afternoon. Our day At labadee was perfect.

Just posting some random pictures.

Something new for us is the additional life guard at the rope barrier of barefoot beach.

The food buffet was modified.
No more steak. Greek salad gone.

Now the biggest change is now how they are peddling products at the beach. At first was the photographers chasing you down to get your picture. Like NO. I really do not want to be remembered as a bad hair and body day.

But what really amazed us is now the are selling insurance. Gieco to be exact.

Here’s a picture of the one that was to pushy.

With the humidity there it looks to be about 110 degrees on the beach there to me?  I think it is usually one of the hottest place on Earth, I'm sure it makes the top ten.

Actually if there was high humidity did not notice it. Nice breeze where we were.

Tried a Lanadoozie um. You can keep it. It reminded of having little money senior year in high school and having to drink MAD DOG.

Although I would never ever even consider drinking before I was 21.  😇

I’m on the same cruise as you and I was more than disappointed with the regular buffet.  First they couldn’t keep up with demand had to wait ten minutes for Dry corn on the cob, the horror.  The buffet was greatly reduced only Hot Dogs which they couldn’t keep up with demand, chicken, and burgers.  Dessert only consisted of a chocolate pound cake, fruit and a coconut maroon.  From 1 to 10 a -10 shame on you Royal.  I cannot not believe it’s the same company that gave us Coco Cay.  Sadly in the future if I’m on a itinerary that includes Labadee I’ll stay on the ship.  Royal surely disappointed.

Reminds me of the "let's pool our money and get an older brother to buy us beer" beer back in the day...

Sue,

Aren't you in a suite? Don't you get a special menu on Barefoot Beach?

Yes we are.
The food consisted of

few starter salads

tomato

onions

cheese

jerk  chicken

hambutger/cheese hamburger

hot dogs

some type rice mixture

1/3 corn on cob ear

Baby iced shrimp with sauce

cookie

small chocolate pudding cake.

Made me think of Disney with their fast food

One big thing I noticed are the new solar panel high poles connected to a light source.

Everything on barefoot looks brand new.

The cabanas have new wood

All painted fresh

restrooms clean.  ( the ones outside the wall)

Our assigned attendant was only seen when we went to our lounger chairs under our 3 limb tree.
He was too busy with non stop paying attention to his  assigned  cabanas, never once coming back.
Another young worker asked us if we needed anything. We said floaties. He took the time and got them and we tipped him.
We also tipped the golf cart mini van driver.

You no longer have to go thru their mimi bag screening.
Just walk up to end of pier show your badge and go through.

The girl dancers were very good.
no longer on pier. They were near the area that has water and beverages on it.

When we got back to our cabin we had chocolate covered strawberries  waiting  for us

Getting ready to sail.

later.

Having some trouble posting. Some are not coming through.

We found a duck and when we came back to our cabin the other night. As well as an alligator under the stairs. D5E98CAA-315A-41EB-B84A-E8CC1B1B2C41.thumb.jpeg.87111072496f74322a95d96f0125835e.jpegI wanted them both in picture. So I put them together.

I thought it was good use if space.

Well that's disappointing. Might as well call it Windjammer. Not what I was expecting.

On any cruise Ive been on I never count on that type of buffet having good food. Ive stopped going to them. I have a nice room service breakfast and bring snacks onshore to tide me over. Not for everyone but works for me.

Labadee was in remarkably good shape, after some of the stories I heard.  But as mentioned, they need to up their game with the food here.
