Is Oceania still misting cabins and closets with disinfectant daily. Cabin is ok, but wondering what effect this would have on clothing. DH is worried that his suit and sports jackets (yes, he is the one dressed every night for dinner, show and dancing) might have a sticky feel or a disinfectant odor. Has anyone noticed this on their clothing.

Final payment is coming up and we must make a decision. Not sure I want my clothing sprayed every day.

I've been on 2 Oceania cruises since the start up and was not aware of any daily disinfecting of the cabin and closet taking place.

I was on a 16-day TA in November last year and never noticed anything.

Maybe the OP is referring to the sail safe   protocols  put out by Oceania

CONTINUOUS SHIP-WIDE CLEANING & DISINFECTION MEASURES

  • Comprehensive enhanced cleaning and sanitation protocols have been implemented throughout the cruise experience.
  • Our 24/7 prevention schedule features continual disinfection of public areas and high-traffic touch points using EPA-approved disinfectants.
  • Guest accommodations will receive intensive non-toxic microbial disinfection daily.

We were on the Marina in February and they were not spraying our cabin.

I've not heard of anyone having their cabin treated and we have talked to others on different sailings. I haven't seen anything on Cruise Critic either.

Last point does not state misting, they mist things like lounges when needed.

Having watched a couple with Covid escorted out of their room and to a waiting elevator, they do mist right behind them.  That is the only time I saw any "misting"
