Hair Salon (spa) - Root Touch Up Price

Hi,

 

Does anyone know the cost of a root touch up at the salon (spa)?   The price sheets I have seen do not include root touch up.

Perhaps the problem is that it would be difficult to exactly match your color formula as the salon on board may not use the same line of hair dyes as your salon or know your stylist's formula for your hair.

I just bring a root touch up kit and do my own when traveling.  Takes less than 25 mins start to finish and costs about $5.

Just curious what root touch up kit you bring?  How would I match it if I usually go to the salon?  Only reason I ask all this is because we will be traveling for about 2 months.  Thanks

Just 2 boxes of Clairol Root Touch Up by Nice & Easy that best match your current hair color and you'll be fine.

Clarion Root Touch Up.  The colorist told me which would be best.  But it is pretty easy the color on the box is pretty accurate.  After doing the roots wait 5-6 mins and then  comb the color through your hair and leave it for about 4-5 minutes.

My colorist told me the formula she uses.  They were able to duplicate it on board.  Captain’s Club spa discount applied.  I’m not sure what the full price would have been

Probably a lot more than I pay at home.  Every spa service price (before the 18% gratutity) is at least  2x higher than what I’m accustom to paying.

THat’s typical on ships for everything from manicures to martinis

It matters where embarkation is but perhaps it's cheaper/easier to make a land based appt before you board?

The OP is looking at two months of travel.  An intermediate appointment will be a necessity.  
 

My stylist at home wrote out my formula and the stylists on board have always been able to match it even across brands.

The  Martinis bar type martinis here are are about the same as on the ship, other things a lot less.

Thank you everyone.  I am seeing my hair stylist tomorrow, so I'll ask her for the formula, and also which color of Clairol Root Touch Up would be the closest match.  Thank you everyone!
