Good morning.  Thanks for the Daily Report.  Happy Tuesday!

A mix of sun and cloud and a high of 17C today.  I wish it was a little warmer.  We're heading to the farmers market this morning, I hope to get some plants for my garden.

Love the days.  I don't have a tiara, but I remember the episode of Big Bang Theory when Sheldon gave Amy a tiara.🙂  I like escargot and always get it when on a BHB.  Maybe I'll call my brother this evening.

Love the quote, Erma was right.

The meal suggestion sounds good, looking forward to seeing the recipe.  The drink sounds good too.  Hope the wine is tasty and not too expensive.

I've never been to today's port, thanks in advance for the pictures.

Prayers for everyone.  Have a wonderful day.

Stay safe.

Good afternoon.

It is 62°F and cloudy with rain starting now.

I have been out for 4 hours doing sales calls.

Thank you for today's daily and fleet reports Rich.

We only eat escargot when we are on Royal Caribbean ships.

I have a brother but we rarely see him.

Very true quote.

I will give the food and drink a miss.

We have been to Grenada on a ship.

Prayers 🙏 for everyone who need them.

I hope everyone is safe and well.

Graham.

Good Morning!  65 degrees here and overcast-expected showers on and off all day.

Today is my two year anniversary for the arm surgery, and I see the doc for follow up.  He told me last year that the pain my go away in 10 years, last year, so I will inform him, it is worse, and i get through it.

I had a coworker, who loved wearing a tiara.  When I was her secret Santa I gave her another one, i think she had a different one for every day of the week.

Brothers day.  I have one, he hasn't spoken to me, or had anything to do with me for more than 20 years.

Good morning, everyone.

It is a nice sunshiny morning here in northeast Ohio.  Temps are supposed to reach the low 70s so it will be pleasant in that respect as well.  I'm going to the pool today for the first time since they shut down for maintenance.  They have really messed up the pool lane reservation system.  It used to be lanes 1, 3, and 5 could be reserved.  Lane 3 was perfect for me because it was the right depth, but I could stand on the bottom.  I don't actually swim.  I do a series of water exercises that my physical therapist helped me put together to help alleviate back issues.  So, I need the right depth and the pool bottom.  Now we can reserve lanes 2,4, and 6.  Lane 2 is too shallow and lane 4 only has a bottom for half the width of the lane and then there is a deep drop off.  Lane 3 is a walk in lane.  So, I am reserving lane 4 and hoping 3 is free when I get there and I'll tell the lifeguard to use 4 as the walk in lane.

The chickpea flatbread is easy to make and can be used like chips in chips and dips or you can put the topping on top with greens and cheese and eat it with a knife and fork.  It is always nice to have choices.  So, here is the first choice for today!  https://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/chickpea-flatbreads-with-burst-tomato-sauce

556426087_chickpeaflatbread1.jpg.f5362c20730c1b85d4461cc7e805e9ed.jpg

The first one was a chip and dip style flatbread and this next one shows a knife and fork style.  https://freshpressedoliveoil.com/explore/recipes/chickpea-flatbreads-with-burst-tomato-sauce/

In this one  you can purchase the flatbreads and the chickpeas are part of the toppings that go on top.   https://tasty.co/recipe/spiced-tomato-and-chickpea-flatbread

This next recipe is Indian inspired and is made on a pizza crust.  https://www.vitacost.com/blog/indian-inspired-vegan-chickpea-flatbread/

The last recipe goes beyond the tomato topping and gives some alternative toppings.  You can make your own flatbread or use a purchased one.   https://hemsleyandhemsley.com/recipe/chickpea-flatbreads-three-toppings/

Thanks for our Tuesday Daily, Rich.

Great collection of days!  I had to put my tiara on yesterday when I ‘talked’ to the lawn care guys.  Let’s just say I was not a happy camper.

I’ll happily celebrate escargot day - love them and both my brothers.  LOL on Erma’s quote.  That one is ever so true - at least it was for me 😉 😆

Even though I know Debbie will make the meal sound good, the words chickpea were enough to make me say “not tonight”.  Hunting for tiara memes - I thought this one applied to a lot of our Daily-ites who have had their own challenges.

Early appointment this morning - made early so I could get to the hospital in a timely manner and of course, they were fully booked so couldn’t be changed.  Well assuming a nice day that will give me a chance to get some more work done outside.

Not sure if we really got frost or not.  I did cover what I could so hopefully all will be well.

Prayers for everyone on the Care list & for those that need them and a 🥂 to those on the Celebratory / Shout Out list.

Have a great Tuesday everyone !!!!!

Thank you for today’s Daily, Rich. Just a quick visit before heading out. I am going to try a kickboxing class. I know, I know - I am laughing too.

Roy I hope you are not spending a lot of your cruise time on the lists & posting them.  Morning Dailyites! Oddly the humidity seems to have left at least yesterday & today. There is a lovely Easterly breeze here.

**********

Chateau du Trignon Cotes du Rhône, France
I tweaked the name a bit, since nothing came up for “Rhéne”. And I chose the 2020 vintage, since that seemed the most readily available. I need to taste this one. “Soft, fruity” combined with a “dry finish” sounds nice. Numerous online & local distributors with prices starting at $19.99.

Winemaker Notes

Chateau du Trignon Cotes du Rhone has an intense ruby color with a nose and palate that show off strawberries, redcurrants and a hint of garrigue. Smooth and well-balanced on the palate. A soft, fruity wine.

This wine pairs well alongside BBQ, Pizza, Burgers or on its own. Perfect to accompany a charcuterie board at your next plate.

Critical Acclaim

JS91 James Suckling
Traditional in the best sense! Such bright black-plum fruit for a Cotes-du-Rhone that’s already 3 years old! Impressive tannin grip behind the power and richness that drives the long, self-confidently dry finish. Drink now.

Good Morning from another sunny and warm day at the beach

Tiaras are fun. Probably dating myself, but remember when we wore them for dances, etc.

Dont care for Escargot. Sadly, both my brothers have passed. I miss them both everyday.  My youngest brother was only 52 when he passed a few years ago. It is his son that is getting married this Saturday, it will be bittersweet but my brother would be very proud of him. He is doing well.

@StLouisCruisers Sandi, Best of luck with your tests today. It is really nerve racking!

Broke my pledge to myself and bought gift cards thru AARP yesterday. No issues, very simple. Why couldnt HAL have been like that???

Not much today, DH has a doctors appointment and then we will do a few errands.

Stay safe and enjoy today

We took our DD on a cruise in 2006 which stopped in Grenada.  That day we took a tour and it ended up at the beach.  She enjoys that but we rarely have a beach day unless it's Patrick's tour in Bora Bora.  The second time was on a South American cruise (the one in 2015 that Lenda was on with us).  I took another tour that day, DH stayed on the ship, and I took a lot more photos.

If my memory is correct, the tour arrived back at the ship 25 minutes late.  As soon as we all rushed back on board the Ruby Princess moved on to Port of Spain, Trinidad.  Thank goodness it was a ship's tour!

No word yesterday on my brother's health. The last I heard on Sunday evening was the hospital was planning to do an electrocardiogram.

Sadie is really cute.

Many parts of the town still showed the damage from Hurricane Ivan in 2004 which devastated it.  00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVLv1AGA9-y6g3GM9ZGETGqB?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1427213222

It wasn't time for my tour yet so we walked around the town early that morning.  The island was celebrating Independence Day so we saw the red, yellow and green colors displayed all over.  We also noticed a different way to sell your produce rather than a farmer's market; out of your truck.00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVK4MsLhiA5xPdRvcbp50gf6?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1427213246

Later we started our tour by visiting Fort Frederick.  The children were there to perform for us.00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVIt5oqDRLWiZs7kAEsCjPZd?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1427213262

Eventually we headed back to St. Georges, but the traffic was so bad we just inched along when we got back to the town.00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVL32Ov0rG8tIgTP0XT4jhCS?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1427213641

If my memory is correct, the tour arrived back at the ship 25 minutes late.  As soon as we all rushed back on board the Ruby Princess moved on to Port of Spain, Trinidad.  Thank goodness it was a ship's tour!

Great collection of photos Sandi.

Good morning everyone. Thankfully the heat spell has broken and today will be a lovely 70 degrees. Nothing much going on here except after Sam bought some new bushes for the patio the handyman planted them. Today I have a support group for caregivers that comes by zoom from Princeton. Many of these people have been caring for a spouse for lots of years. It makes me feel lucky that Sam is not as impaired as most of them.

Stay safe everyone,

Carol

Good morning, thanks for the Daily!  I'd better go and dust off my tiara - I kept the one I used for Gr 12 graduation cause ya never know when you're going to need one!  I love escargots and order them every time I see them on the menu on a BHB.   My half brother and I get along very well, so I'll call him tonight and wish him a Happy Brother's Day.

It was a beautiful day yesterday with bright sunshine and we're expecting more of the same for today with highs around +24C (75F).  Somewhere mid-afternoon the doorbell rang and there were friends of ours carrying a gigantic multicoloured coleus plant that is going to be perfect for the front entrance of our house.  They came in, I made iced coffees and snacks and we spent a lovely couple of hours just enjoying being able to reconnect again.

Today there isn't really anything on the agenda except laundry (is it ever really done?) and sweeping up pollen from the spruce trees.  Argh, that stuff is everywhere, and you can really notice it when you have a black vehicle!   Rather than using the broom, I'm going to have to use a Swiffer with many changes of cloths to clean off the deck, otherwise I'll just be spreading it around.

@rafinmdI am sorry for the loss of your friend, Phil.

@marshhawkdo what you need to in order to keep yourself on an even keel.  The money might not be as great, but your peace of mind is worth it.

@StLouisCruiserslove the photos of Sadie; she's sooo tiny!

I think I'd like to try today's menu suggestion by making the chickpea flatbread, but not today.  We're not going to be home tomorrow (heading out of town to lay my dear uncle to rest), so I don't want leftovers.  DH has suggested he's going to head downstairs to the deep freeze and will find some smokies to barbecue.  It's looking like smokies with all the fixings and coleslaw will be on the table tonight.  And wine.

Prayers for everyone who needs them and even for those who don't think they do.  Extra prayers for the people of Ukraine and all who are providing assistance to them.  Extra of course for our Daily family who are struggling.  We'll clink the wine glasses together to celebrate the happy list.  Stay safe, get your boosters, wear masks when you need to, and be well.

Smooth Sailing!  🙂🙂🙂

Gerry

Good morning.  Don't have a tiara, not interested in Escargot, but have 2 brothers.  Love one, tolerate the other.  I really can relate to the quote, that fit my mother to a tee.  Will pass on the meal.  Have not been to Grenada.  Have fun to our group who are meeting up tomorrow.

Major prayers to our care list.  A whoohoo to our celebrations.

Please continue to stay safe.
