Headed across the street to the Asylum. Turned out to be an amazing spot. Met the owner, heard his story, great guy. Some fun locals, it was awesome.

Pregnant bartender - and daughter of the owner - absolutely killing it and working her tail off. I can’t even imagine.

So the Asylum has a deal where you can order food from the Burger Queen next door and they bring it over to you. First of all, the lady that brings it over is hilarious and straight out of central casting. Most importantly, B got a fried halibut sandwich, and I kid you not, it may have been one of the best things I’ve ever tasted (even though I was only allowed one bite)… just decadently insanely good. She couldn’t stop talking about it, and understandably so.

Carnival Corp buddies docked behind us. Norwegian Bliss was docked off at some naval yard and they had to take a shuttle to and from town. They’ve had tough docking luck.

We also did this same cruise, same ship on May 2 or 10 days....LOVED IT...We stayed at the Riu for 1 night after the cruise....Thanks for sharing....

And now for the Sourdough Bar right by the pier. I love this place. Visited back in ‘16, and nothing has changed. Anywhere with an old school mid 80’s flat sit down Ms. PacMan table unit is OKAY BY ME
