3Shelaghs Posted July 30, 2022 #1 Share Posted July 30, 2022 Any updates on locations close to Riverside Hotel?? "Curative" which is the suggested company close to hotel does Molecular and PCR, which we don't need of course (not to mention $$$). They don't list the RAT tests. Have cancelled the car rental, so will have to UBER it. Ideas????? Fingers crossed these useless tests will be gone by the fall.
Sprocket Posted July 30, 2022 #2 Share Posted July 30, 2022 I took an Uber from the Hilton Marina to Lab Doctor test was $49 and I just waited for the results. For our cruises next month we are using our free government tests and booked online proctored tests.
3Shelaghs Posted July 31, 2022 Author #3 Share Posted July 31, 2022 Are you able to provide name of online testers website? This whole testing stuff is so ridiculous, is the proctored tester paid to watch you use your own test kit?? How do they verify test is legitimate? Do you use zoom or can I face time? 3Shelaghs Posted August 1, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted August 1, 2022 Riverside Hotel recommendation is Curative lab, close to hotel. I asked questions and lab emailed info quickly. No they do not offer antigen tests, only NAAT and PCR. ....... RT PCR (2 day) $99............ 2hr test is $135. All US funds, and for uninsured people (assuming this means anyone other than Americans) https://book.curative.com/sites/34941?date=2022-08-01 The other lab close by: https://labdoctor.org/covid-pcr-testing/. Antigen test offered at $49. and PCR at $99. Or proxy lab with zoom, and your own test kit.
mom2miracles Posted August 2, 2022 #5 Share Posted August 2, 2022 Why don't you just get tests from Switch Health and test at the hotel? We've done that a few times, and never an issue. You don't have to be in Canada to do the tests, you just have to have access to WIFI.
3Shelaghs Posted August 4, 2022 Author #6 Share Posted August 4, 2022 Wow... while expensive, that Switch testing is really easy. I'm assuming while there are 2 kits per pack, each person would need their own kit due to the included QR code? This might be the easiest way to go. Wish I could drag along my 50 free Ontario kits......LOL Thanks for info. For others in the need to know... If you're an Aeroplan member it's cheaper and they have a link. https://www.switchhealth.ca/en/

It’s very straight forward and easy to use. The results are emailed to you very quickly too.

Liverpoolfan181 Posted August 8, 2022 #13 Share Posted August 8, 2022 While hopeful this will no longer be required come the fall, We tested right off the airport at FLL at Nomi Health. Took 10 mins and results in 20 that they emailed. They were right off the terminal. All locations on their website.
