From cruise port are there shuttles or are they walkable to get to town?

You could also check the Whatsinport website for each port. And ask on your Celsbruty Roll Call. Some of your fellow cruisers may know if the ship provides a shuttle.

 

As a note- Positano should be a tender port.

Another forum on the boards you might want to research is the Disabled Cruise Travel forum. That is the forum where cruisers with physical limitations share their advice & experiences. Perhaps there are others with knee mobility issues that have been on your same itinerary.

 

I suggest you use the Follow feature on this thread or any other thread where you are interested in the new replies. Positano Would be very hard for someone with knee problems. No cars are allowed and it is a pretty steep downhill. I assume your stop is Naples there may be better choices your wife. Positiano is a little overrated I.M.H.O.

Just had the opportunity to tender off the Apex and will say using the Magic Carpet as the launch is a huge improvement for those with mobility issues.  No stairs to climb down into the tender as the platform is right at tender entrance level.
