Did Princess immediately change you cabin to the new one or are they waiting for your payment.

Yes. I received a new booking email from Princess listing my new cabin number and price. I received a second email telling me to log into my account and pay for the new upgrade.

Thanks.
I think it is important for people to understand the process. Some people are under the mistaken believe that it is optional to accept the winning bid.  Princess had enhanced their process (compared to some of their competitors) to allow one to use FCC or some other forms of payment instead of the CC used.  I believe people are assuming that this means they have a choice of accepting the bid after they win.  When Princess states that you will cruise in your original cabin, it is in referencing if you do not win a bid.  Otherwise it would a logistical nightmare.  At least that it what Princess terms say.

It will be interesting to see if anyone successfully cancels their winning bid by not paying.

Enjoy your win.

Sorry to say there appear to have NO penthouse suites available.

The top category I found was an MB mini suite of which 11 are available.

Thanks for checking. Since I already have a casino suite I’ll just be happy.

I am in a mini suite and put in low bids for a club class mini suite, a premium suite and a penthouse suite.  They are all still pending and my cruise leaves in 3 days.

That would make me a nervous wreck!

I made a bid to upgrade from regular balcony, to premium balcony on the Grand Princess sailing Nov. Then I found out that there are twelve premium cabins that are twin bed only. I don't want to risk getting twin beds so I cancelled the bid.

Is my reasoning correct? If so, maybe it could be something others might consider before bidding as well.

I submitted 4 upgrade bids for my November 13th cruise on the Royal.  This morning I got 3 emails from Princess saying that my bid was unsuccessful.  From what I've read on this thread, that seemed like good news - probably my 4th one was accepted and I would get an email regarding that within an hour or two.  Now it's been 10+ hours and I haven't heard anything.  I wonder if the process has slowed down some, or if they are still deciding on that last one.

My guess is you will get the acceptance email soon. You can check by clicking on your ORIGINAL bid on an upgrade email. The bids that are declined will show as EXPIRED. The accepted bid will show as PENDING. Good luck!!

Thank you - that worked - it says pending on the mini suite!

Awesome! 🤗

Keep checking your email including spam. If you have a TA they will also get the upgrade notice.

I think your in real good shape for a upgrade with the unsuccessful emails (regardless it’s be over 10 hours) 🙂

Ahhh, just like us 2 weeks ago. No word resulted in no upgrade. Hope you have better luck but, we really enjoyed our mini suite regardless

And if the decisions have not been made yet, what does it say for status instead of EXPIRED or PENDING?

All bids will say Pending. The giveaway is if you start getting rejection emails a few weeks out except for one bid that still says Pending. In many cases, including mine, when this happens the bid acceptance email follows for the one bid that was not rejected.

We were a little lower than the middle - right where the dial was on the line between "fair" and "good".

thank you.  I also put in a bid going from Balcony to Premium Deluxe Balcony.  The lowest I could start at was $55 and I put in $75 - total of $150 - haven't heard yet, but cruise in Jan 7th

Also check your booking on line. See if you still have the same cabin number. Some had cabin numbers changed before acceptance letter.

I would most definitely bid on Club class mini. It’s a great starting bid. Plus all the club class benefits

Interesting. When I read the information I understood that if I did not pay within 2 days of winning my bid I would loose the bid and no money would exchange hands.
