So, we had a zodiac tour for snorkelling🐡🐠🐟

Tenders was a bit ruff to load this morning. The swelling was long and noticeable high. So loading was wet and waiving😝 Okey for us, but for the land crabs we shared tender by, it was a bit more worried😳😵💫

On the pier we were greeted and split into groups going onward in zodiacs😎 We were loaded to the cool captain😁 So full speed and close to shoreline for fun turns and viewing of the rocks😎

Great flat ocean to the snorkelling. We had lots of small Hawaiian dolphins 🐬 next to our zodiac on the way out. (They showed up on the return;)

The snorkelling was good. Clear water and lots of 🐠🐡🐟🐠🐡 captains excellent.

On the return we stopped by some of the caves. It’s really beautiful and the water is so clear.

Great half day tour. Really a great tour.

(Probably some of our fellow cruisers didn’t enjoy it to much…. They were not snorkelling and they were not prepared for zodiac….) But the tour description says very clearly zodiac/snorkelling😎

On return to the city centre….. What time is it? Ooooo Beer time😝 Kona Brewing was screaming for a guest😂😂😂🍺🍺

So we had to go there to have some refreshments😜

Mr was very happy for his tasting paddle🥰

I will load pictures from the snorkelling later. Battery is dead on my GoPro🙃

After a stroll in the city Center and a local coffee, we decided it was time to tender back to the ship. We were back onboard around 15.45.

We were salty and covered in sunscreen, so we picked up some iced tea in Al Bacio and Mr wanted to try today’s cake. It was a almond cake (pound cake style)

Mr really liked it😋

We are ready to sail onward to Maui.

Captain just announced that they have a increased number of covid cases onboard in passengers. So in the theatre and casino, you must now wear a face mask.

We will not attend the show tonight. It’s production show Rock City. We went in Alaska.

Yepp, you get the picture🤥

We were also going to travel the world when I retired in  summer 2021. Then covid hit in 2020 and after furlow I  never went back to work.

Not quite the retirement we had planned.

Now fast forward to 2022 and two gourgous grandchildren and we don't really want to travel for too long.

But we did do a fair amount of travelling when we were working, also aviation workers here.

BTW loving your review, your English is very good and you have such a happy positive outlook. Looking forward to the next stage. 😀

We visited your beautiful country last May and loved it.

A pre-dinner cocktail in Sky Lounge started the evening. We are heavy drinkers🤣🤣🤣🤣 club soda and lime please🍹

Will Martin had a mini show in grand foyer before dinner tonight. We attended from behind the scene on higher deck. He’s brilliant. So nice to hear him again.

It was lots of people on deck 3,4,5.

Dinner was good.

We had: salmon and spring roll for starter. Main: duck

Dessert: lava cake and puff pastry.

Everything tasted excellent. Service is good.

Tonight’s duck is my favourite duck onboard. It’s very Scandinavian style. Tonight it was excellent prepared.

The spring roll was so good, both me and Mr said mmmmmmmmmm after the first bite. The saus, filling and the kale salad was perfect😋😋😋 (we have eaten all items before, but it’s always a little different from sailing to sailing. Tonight they nailed it for the duck & spring roll 🤩)

This week the lava cake was a actual active lava🤣🤣🤣 Tasted excellent and is my favourite for dessert together by soufflé🤩 ( remember last week? Mr had a cold lava/sleeping cake😝)

After dinner, we were tired and ready for bed😴😴

We are anchoring up in Lahaina, Maui today.

We are staying overnight🙃

Today’s plan is a waterfall hike.

Tomorrow is open. We are considering a beach day in Kaabapali.

We will see what the future brings😌

Breakfast was delivered, cooked picked up😎 Great start of the day🥰

Tropical rainforest🌴🌴🌳🌴 here we come😎

We were 12 guests in one group. It’s 1h drive from Lahaina to the area. You are crossing the line for dry/wet side of Maui. Really easy to see. Suddenly lots of vegetation and green lush trees🤓

We were hiking to 3 waterfalls. It’s possible to take a swim in all of them and you can jump🤪🤪🤪George tour guide was excellent.

We had a great day, swimming in the waterfalls and walking in the mangrove forest😎 (this is not for those that can’t walk or have problems in knees or hips) And you need water shoes to be able to walk into the water. You are crossing a river multiple times.

Really a tour for our taste🙌🏻

After the return to Lahaina it was beer’o’clock time🍺🍺🍺 Mr said he had earned his beer tasting paddle today😅

So now he is he a happy camper at Waikiki Brewing Company🥳

So after a little walk around after the beer, we decided it was time to return. Tender went okay.

We were back onboard 18.30 and we took a express shower, get dressed and run downstairs to the Polynesian Show. We made it🤪😍 They handed out a 🌹 rose to all female guests tonight in the theatre🥰

Beautiful show of locals. It’s great that they bring them onboard tonight.

I hadn’t had any coffee since breakfast today. I was SO ready for coffee…. So after the show, we went straight to Al Bacio for a “pre-dinner” coffee🙃

The Eclipse orchestra was playing big-band in the foyer🥰 I love when they do this❤️ ( I play clarinet and love big band;)

Tonight’s dinner was okay. This is a evening the menu-set is a bit blah for my choice…… Specifically the entrées. It’s combination of ingredients and type of fish/meats.

We had for starters the veal. (This one is very good and always a winner;)

Main course: beef ( the meat was excellent cooked for my liking and tasted good)

Dessert: ice bomb and panna cotta.

The ice bomb is more like cold chocolate truffle style. Mr liked it🙃 The panna cotta was not awful. But did they forget to put vanilla in the panna cotta🤔🤔🤔 and theirs no colie/sauce. So it’s more a gel pudding then a panna cotta. Since it’s clear gel in the bottom tasting basil…

After a full day on tour, we went strait to bed😴😴😴

Today’s activity is beach day😎

We took the tender around 8.30. And took lyft to Kaanapali 🏖 beach/Whaler’s village😌

It’s a beautiful day😎

But….. guess what😝 dangerous… lots of shopping and nice stores🤩😍

Had to stop by Tommy Bahama on the way down to the beach…💸💸💸

They had a lovely nice bathing/sun dress and a new bikini for me🤩 (my panos emporio turned from dark blue to purple in the jacuzzi in Alaska….)  So I bought a new for the beach🤩🤩🤩 Must try to look nice in Hawaii💃🏻

We found a nice location on the beach and I prepare towels and our things…

Well…. Mr…… Do you have your swim shorts under your shorts today??

Oooo, no…..Didn’t you pack my bathing short? 😳🙄😬🤪🤪🤪

Well, good for you that we have a mall next door to the beach😜🤣🤣🤣

So Mr is now up in the mall, shopping for a new bathing shorts😆🙃💸💸💸

I've noticed a lot( almost all at the buffet) desserts are very gelatin heavy.  We don't waste calories with any dessert at the buffet.  The desserts in Luminae on our most recent Reflection cruise were good.

the only dessert in the buffet is fruit or ice cream🙃

The cakes and pastries onboard looks delicious🤩

But I’m not a big cake person🙃

ice cream on the other hand is good if it’s made properly😋

So the only thing I really like is the lava cake dessert, banana Forster , apple crumble/pie, soufflé  and lemon/fruit tart they have in Al Bacio. But in small amounts😌

Mr on the other hand is a cake eater😅

I make panna cotta for dessert at home if we have guests. So the one from the ship yesterday was a pail copy compared to what it’s supposed to be/taste.

Around 13.30 we decided it was enough sun on the beach and time to return to the ship. So we arrived back onboard at 14.30.

We picked up some ice tea in Al Bacio and headed up to our balcony.

Today’s canapés had arrived.

Mr was so happy for a little shopping😂😂😁 He found a shorts and a new bathing sweater😎

And the abc store had a cold🍺…..

What is in those little "hot dog" looking things anyhow--we couldn't eat them.

It’s Nutella/chocolate filled sweet bread.
The canapés is a nice gesture, but it’s not a perfect combo….

I think many goes untouched in return.

Tonight’s show is Euphoria. Production show. We didn’t see it on the Alaska cruise. It was the last evening when we just need to breath out😉

So tonight we will attend🤩

Change of plan😝 We went to sunset bar. Beautiful view of the sunset. And the temperature is lovely🥰So we decided to stay outside and just relax in the evening before dinner😎

Captain Zizis came on the speaker 18.50 to tell that they will demand masks in all indoor areas😰😱😰unless you are eating or drinking. Numbers are higher then okay😔

Not happy at all to hear this.

But we hear lots of caught around.

We tested tonight by our self before we went to Sunset. We are all healthy and feeling good🙂

The paranoia me need to just clarify that we still, knock on wood are healthy. Both tested negative. 🙃😅

(According to CD paperwork, we would have Desember 63 and the girls from last cruise as entertainment…. Well they have vanished up in smoke…. So they are probably locked in isolation…. And the comedian has done 2 regular shows during this cruise)

Time to go for dinner. Tonight it was lobster night🦞🦞

We had for starter the salmon.

Main course was lobster and duck.

Dessert: apple pie and poached pear

All tables received a plate of chocolate.

The starter was excellent, the salmon is good.

We had to wait for our main course. The kitchen was out of food😅 Not a big problem to wait.

Mr had lobster, his favourite. They were good and size was decent.

I had the the orange duck. It’s supposed to be a duck leg…. Well half a duck arrived on my plate😅 So a lot of food😝 The duck was very well done. So a bit dry…. But okay, I had dinner tonight and I won’t go hungry to bed😂😂😂😉

We ended the evening after dinner.

Good morning from Honolulu, Oahu.

We have docked at our final point of our cruise. The ship will stay as overnight hotel for us. (Originally we were supposed to sail, but they changed it to overnight in Honolulu)

We have booked a ticket to the Pearl Harbour memorial. I did it from home the day they opened for booking. You need to book early.

So we will spend the day in Pearl Harbour.

This will be our last balcony breakfast for now🙃

Coffee was collected downstairs in Al Bacio🥰 They are super crew🥇

@Norwaylady the Covid situation isn't sounding good for the return to Australia. No doubt there will be much attention on the cruise industry as ships return downunder. Celebrity won't want the finger pointed at them even though it's here to stay.

On a happier note, enjoy your last day of your wonderful cruise. Feels like it lasted forever. Thank you so much for taking the time to share it with us. You really captured it from a personal perspective and what it meant for you.

Happy onward travels. Slainte!
