Just saw this at Celebrity.  Onboard Casino New Hours - 7 days/week - 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Cannot believe this.  Don't they make money in the casino any more.  I do like the casino.  It is a source of entertainment for me (playing the slots).

If this is what the Original Poster was referring to, this seems clear to me to be the hours to call for offers, not the hours of the casino on the ship.

Nope. Celebrity's U.S. website looks different that what you posted. Nowhere is a phone number listed for Blue Chip Club. Once again, Celebrity's IT dept. is consistently inconsistent.

That's not the main Celebrity homepage, it's the homepage for the Blue Chip Club.

Yeah, I see the wording on the first page now as well, my guess is that is a mistake. I think they are referring to the new shoreside phone hours of Blue Chip Club, but it is very badly set out. I would be extremely surprised if they start closing onboard casinos at 8 pm, that would lose tons of revenue.

This is confusing and is hopefully incorrect:

I was referring to the link that @CarolRoyposted #6. As the OP I didn't click on BCC. Just overview. Our BCC tier level is Pearl. Should be sand as we aren't gamblers.

That website is clearly about the Blue Chip Club.  Scroll down a little further and it talks about the hours of for new members to take advantage of their benefit in the casino from 9:00 a.m. - closing

We aren't huge gamblers but we do enjoy the casino in the evening after dinner or before a show.  I read this headline to DH and his response was, "If that's the case, then cancel our March cruise and book on a different line."  I feel like that would be the sentiment of many passengers.  A huge mistake on the part of Celebrity if true.

Tell your husband to enjoy his March Celebrity cruise. 😉

As a casino player, I can assure you the casino makes money.

The page is confusing and wrong but as a casino player, yet what I highlighted is quite a leap to an assumption.  I can assure you they make money and if they lost money they would simply shut it down completely vs reducing the hours.

100% not true.

Says you.  Cruises appeal to a wide variety of people for a wide variety of reasons.

Cheers!

The poster was clearly replying to the "if true" portion of your post to reassure you that the "new hours" are not true.
