Lorey2007 Posted October 16, 2022 #202 Share Posted October 16, 2022 (edited) Love your review we will be sailing on Liberty next May. Can you verify if Starlink is up & running I saw this posted a couple of days ago: Based on reader reports, Starlink appears to be working on Liberty of the Seas and Enchantment of the Seas. Photos of the Starlink receivers onboard, and verified that the ship is now offering the internet service as of a few days ago. Rare aussielozzie18 Posted October 17, 2022 #203 Share Posted October 17, 2022 Glad our IT dept has spent 2hrs trying to fix my work computer. Meant I can catch up on the fab reviews like yours. Glad your accident does not prevent from you from enjoying the finer things in life on board. Be warned having a solo cabin is addictive.

Here is a speed test. 1 hour ago, aussielozzie18 said: Glad our IT dept has spent 2hrs trying to fix my work computer. Meant I can catch up on the fab reviews like yours. Rare Sea Dog Posted October 17, 2022 Author #206 Share Posted October 17, 2022 Dinner in the MDR Nothing better than starting out Night one Dinner in the MDR with a window seat and a Old Fashioned. Waiter Eka from Indonesia and Dwayne from Jamaica (15 years with Royal) were great at our window table side. Starters were my standard Escargot ( garlic butter great for bread dipping) and a shrimp cocktail (sorry no pic) and entree Prime Rib (sorry no wide I started eating) with a side of Spaghetti Bolognese. Everything tasted great and was hot. Desert warm hazelnut cake and an espresso to wake me up. Dinner was more than an hour and a half but I don’t mind. I like leisurely dinners. First night in the MDR and I am very pleased. I’m happy that we made reservations every night for this same table and wait staff.
Rare Sea Dog Posted October 17, 2022 Author #207 Share Posted October 17, 2022 It’s funny one minute I can’t get cruise critic to load and my pic uploads fail then the above post uploads no problem. Another Starlink speed test. Impressive.
Rare Sea Dog Posted October 17, 2022 Author #208 Share Posted October 17, 2022 Bourbon selection on Liberty is horrible. No Makers Mark. Looks like most of the bars just have Buffalo Trace and JT’s Brown. Looks like I may be a rum and tequila drinker all week. Goombay Smash.

Linda is on me about wearing the sling because I don’t want to. Leaving hotel now. No need to worry I would be horrible at it even with a good shoulder. 13 hours ago, NHProud said: Listen to Linda and wear your sling ! Was your new iPhone delivered before you left ? Great review as always . Listen to Linda! Wear your sling! And while I know you love ❤️ your bourbon, please go easy on it on this cruise. You’re recovering from an injury right now so your body won’t handle alcohol 🥃 as well as it normally would. It’s focused on healing. I’m sure you don’t want to trip and fall on your already broken collarbone or your relatively recently replaced knee because your adult beverages caught up with you faster than they usually would. I’m not saying don’t enjoy yourself, just keep your injury in mind while you’re enjoying.

I need to take it easy on all accounts and let my body heal. It doesn’t hurt in the sling sitting down. But boy when I try and take my shirt off, not fun. I was planning on hitting the gym everyday on this cruise, not now. Thank you for your advice and concern.
Bailey & Sophie Posted October 17, 2022 #214 Share Posted October 17, 2022 So sorry to hear about your fall. Hope it heals fast. Glad to know, tho, that most of your cruise won't be impacted. Self-medicating at the Schooner is highly recommended!

So because of the long drive I did not take my blood pressure medicine because it has a diuretic in it and did not want to have to go to the bathroom every 30 minutes. I also did not drink any water. So when I got up to go to the bathroom I got up too quickly felt dizzy and fell. I must have hit my head because I asked Linda where were we. So a trip to the ER for a Cat Scan, blood work, and shoulder x-ray. Needless to say everything looked good except to have a hairline fracture in my collarbone. So I guess slings are sexy looking on a cruise ship. I feel stupid that it happened. Doc said make sure you take your meds. Oh no! Sorry to hear this happened.
Rare Sea Dog Posted October 17, 2022 Author #218 Share Posted October 17, 2022 7am and I’m wide awake. I slept pretty good considering if I move too much my shoulder really hurts. A couple of weird things to share. When I fainted or blacked out (can’t remember) obviously I hit the floor pretty hard resulting in a trip to the ER and a broken collarbone. Weird thing is one of toes is black and blue. Sorry for the gross pic. and I have a small cut on the side of my head. This explains why the ER doc wanted to do a Cat Scan of my head to make sure there was no bleeding on the brain. I know kinda scary. I feel very fortunate it could have been way worse. I have no idea why my toe is this way or what I might have cut my head on. Linda made the right call after I came to and did not know where I was and what we were doing to go to the ER. Thank God I gave good insurance. Can you imagine the cost if this happened on the ship? Current position at 18.5 knots. Looks like it’s going to be a beautiful sea day.

One minute everything is great and one minute stuff stalls out. I think you are right in that they are still testing. I will say anything is an improvement. 5 minutes ago, AlohaLivin said: I know you are likely still so sore, but I hope that you are feeling a bit better 🤕 Still very painful if I move my arm around. As long as I'm in the sling it's not too bad. Thanks for your concern.
