ShazM Posted November 4, 2022 #227 Share Posted November 4, 2022 We were on this also and were in balcony 12250. Flew into Honolulu on 6 October and stayed at the Outrigger. The most stressful part for those of us from Australia was getting the negative test before boarding the ship, you couldn't really relax until it was done. Looking forward to the next part of your review. Hope you got some photos of the super yacht we were "parked" next to in Papeete.

It was called the The lonian https://www.superyachttimes.com/yachts/lonian https://www.superyachtfan.com/yacht/lonian/ Our family could see it out our window while eating dinner that night. We were obsessed with it haha. Owned by the guy that sold off UFC. Absolutely incredible yacht! Edited November 4, 2022 by Mikamarii

What's the worst that they can do...throw you in the water? Maybe I'd make a new billionaire friend. 1

The crew took a dinghy and another boat off somewhere for the day packed with coolers and all sorts of things. Came back very late afternoon and then left for dinner and brought some people back with them before putting down the big shutter over the back of the living space on the main deck. It looked fantastic all lit up at night.

We were in 12232. I didn't get any pictures of it except this one shows some of the top of it.

I guess they left the support yacht back in California. 😅 https://smdp.com/2021/09/02/theres-always-a-bigger-boat/

Since a super yacht OBVIOUSLY isn't big enough, you have a support ship follow you around to carry all of your toys. The support ships also have cabins for additional crew. Wow. 2
Rare bobmacliberty Posted November 5, 2022 #237 Share Posted November 5, 2022 For those who enjoy dreaming about super yachts (like me), check out NautiStyles on YouTube. They do a lot of high end yacht tours.

It caters for 12 passengers with I think 17 crew and you can hire it for $100,000 US a week or something like that. Lonian caters for 12 passengers but has 27 crew on to look after them.

Rare ReneeFLL Posted November 6, 2022 Author #241 Share Posted November 6, 2022 (edited) Up next was Tahiti. We did the Island Circle Tour before and weren't to impressed so this time we just walked around. Greeted by a lady handing out plumeria/frangipani flowers. We were also serenaded by the locals. Supplies being loaded onto the ship. Bougainvillea Park dedicated to Louis Antoine De Bougainvillea. He was the first French Navigator to sail around the world. A resident chicken. Rare ReneeFLL Posted November 6, 2022 Author #242 Share Posted November 6, 2022 We stopped by the Robert Wan Pearl Museum. It's a very small one. We were there before and decided to see it again. It shows how cultured pearls are made along with other info. They also sell beautiful pearls and jewelry. Can anyone guess how any pearls it took to make the curtain? Unfortunately, I don't know the answer so I wouldn't be able to answer it either. It would be a cool and $$$ entry into our tiki bar room. Look at all of the pretty colors. Earrings with prices in case anyone was curious. These were a really nice size and gorgeous. The biggest one I saw there. Diving for pearls.

Rare aussielozzie18 Posted November 7, 2022 #245 Share Posted November 7, 2022 If I am converting correctly, the price from South Pacific francs to AUD is $950.00 for the earrings in the top row. Beautiful pearls.
jldev Posted November 7, 2022 #246 Share Posted November 7, 2022 My husband and I were also on the same Trans-Pacific cruise and we were in Junior Suite 11638 which was wonderful. We had 10 nights in Waikiki and then the fantastic Ovation cruise back to Sydney. One night in Sydney and then flew back home to Wellington. Since we've been home, I've been extremely busy catching up with work and so I've only just seen your TR. I don't have time to read it now but will look forward to reading later. However, in the meantime, here are a couple of photos I took of that incredible super yacht that was tied up next to us in Papeete.

Rare ReneeFLL Posted November 9, 2022 Author #249 Share Posted November 9, 2022 On our walk back we stopped at the Le Moana Bar which is on the water and their restaurant is across the walkway. Mai Tai and Pina Colada. Sweet potato fries. Restaurant.
