I have been sipping on ginger ale and laying out on the couch on the balcony or on the couch in the sitting area.

The weather has been cool and misty outside.

This is the stuff that Celebrity leaves out of their sales brochures and emails. Kind of like everyone’s idea of marriage when you are in high school.

We're doing 26 days of the Edge repositioning cruise from Rome to Singapore getting to Singapore at the end of November.

Wow. Suez Canal, Egypt, Dubai, Holy Land, and India? Indiana Jones itinerary! Singapore is going to be boring for you.

My wife brought back to our cabin a simple dinner for me from the Ocean View Cafe.  Thin spaghetti noodles cooked in butter and garlic with Parmesan cheese added on top. I hadn’t eaten anything of substance all day. It was so good. I’m very lucky (talking about my wife).

I had suggested to my DH to follow these TA threads in an effort to convince him he would not be sea sick. So glad he never listens to me. He swears by Dramamine, ginger pills, and his new stable- vodka  and ginger beer in frequent doses.

feel better

I am prone to seasickness. I tend to be the first to go down if and when the seas get rough.  It also doesn’t help that we are in an aft cabin where the ship’s motion is magnified and at its worst. Still I have booked aft and bow cabins for 14 out of our 15 cruises with Celebrity (that’s where the FV cabins always are). That’s how infrequent sea sickness hits me despite my sensitivity to it.

My wife went to the MDR tonight and reported that it looked like everyone showed up.  That’s a better indicator. Show that to your husband!

I'll need get your thoughts about where to stay in Singapore and things to do.

We stayed at Marina Bay Sands. Yes, it was pricey for us, but for 2 nights pre-cruise, well worth it. The location and amenities are excellent.

I've booked the cheapest room an year in advance and got a reasonable refundable rate.

We’re had drinks with @wayneg1 (Wayne and Karen) at 5pm last night.  They are a most delightful couple. They are happily retired and do an impressive amount of travelling. It is something for me to aspire to.

We went to Le Petit Chef last night for dinner. It was for the earlier of the two sittings. I think the place was only 40% full.

@biggerboat47  (Ken and Carol) were seated with a couple of friends behind my wife.

The menu and show are built around the four seasons. One season for each course.

First was spring

Then summer

followed by autumn

And finally winter—dessert time. I spent an extra $20 to buy the wine pairing for each course.

I played in the blackjack tournament two afternoons ago. I finished fourth at my table which is not good enough to advance.

The tournament rules are very loose. The first round is played at only one single table. This means that several games are played in succession for the first round. That gives a huge edge to players playing later within a round because they know the chip score from them  prior games. To prevent this, usually each round is done with multiple tables playing simultaneously.

You get to play seven hands per game. The player who is dealt the first card is not rotated until the final round. By not rotating where the first card is dealt, the player at the third base position has an edge.

We loved sailing on the Connie from Abu Dhabi to Rome.  Question:  How is the Persian Garden?  Are the ceramic seating still heated?  We were disappointed that the Millennium's ceramic seating is no longer heated.

I will look into it and let you know

well I’m officially sea sick today.

The front desk and infirmary has complimentary sea sickness pill (meclizine). If that does not work, you may consider in going to the infirmary for a prescription of Zofran (for nausea) or a stronger medication would be phenagran (for nausea but will defiantly make you sleepy)

Same on Silhouette in August.
I was told restock in September, but obviously don’t know whether that happened.

They were old stock anyway.
