As of this morning, Fernando is no longer featured anywhere on Silversea's website.

He is now the VP of Guest Experiences at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, Michigan. I just Googled him. Sorry to see him go. We’ve been on 4 SS cruises, 3 with Jimmy.

Wonder if he'll be back on board for the winter?  Can't imagine there is too much demand for Guest Experiences on Mackinac Island from January until April, especially considering the amount of ice that surrounds the island during the winter.

Good question. Looks like they actually close for the winter. But I imagine he can do a lot to get up to speed before the doors re-open in the spring.

Just got an email from Crystal A&K and "Fernando" with years of experience is hosting the "new renovated" Crystal cruises World Cruise.  He was a Silversea Institution when I was on Silversea for probably 200-300 days of cruising.  An invitation to his table was always fabulous and oooh the stories he told, always without names 😉   

 

This was a Tremendous loss for Silversea as many many travelers are indeed as loyal to Fernando as they are to Silversea....imho.   Safe sails to all!

So, what did your email message say?  I have yet to read from anyone who has been impressed with Crystal’s new prices relative to the proposed product & services.

I hadn’t looked, but just did. Can’t see those prices being popular.
