As a Prime member i know you can get free drinks in the casino. if i remember correctly i was allowed to get 2 at a time is this still the case

I have never tried to get two at a time, but I would guess that it depends on the particular bar tender/server.

I was sitting at the casino bar with a friend on Freedom a few weeks ago when someone came up to the bar and ordered two drinks. The bartender said he would have to charge him for one of them so the guy just ordered one drink. I don’t know any details other than the guy was Prime, since my friend and I asked the bartender about what just happened. The bartender said the computer system would only allow him to ring up one casino comp drink at a time. I don’t know if that is a Freedom thing or if that is fleet wide.

Kinda strange. Bartenders just swipe twice all the time. But, technically, you're suppose to be actively playing to get free drinks,,, but the waiter service is really bad on most ships.

No need to be playing to get a drink from the casino bar, just order when it is open 🙂

Have never had the bartender swipe anything or saw him have to swipe anything or ring anything up when ordering a free prime drink in the casino....they always just make it and hand it to me. The only time im usually asked to see my card to know if I am prime is the first night...but still I have never had them take it or swipe it.

I believe there is a direct correlation between speed of service and size of cash gratuity placed on the waiter's tray when the drink is delivered.  My experience is from two different ships.  Usually I was asked if I was ready for another one when my drink was down to half full.

This is my experience.

Tip heavy for the first round of the sailing and then $1 or $2 a drink after and the waiter or waitress will zip by you constantly.

Many times, when the casino is basically full, they do not have many waiters.  It's easier for me to saunter up to bar and order my rink.  My flexibility is that I can use either Prime or my D+ status.

We are D+ and Prime, too!

I used to tip $5 first night and $1 after but inflation is crushing foreigners even worse so I plan to double those numbers this Christmas cruise.

In Chicago, a $15 cocktail isn’t abnormal

and I generally tip 30% if service is on point ($4.50 per drink) so why not bump these hard working folks up a few bucks a day?

I was on the Adventure of the Seas last month for a New England cruise.  I am not a Prime member, but for some reason, they gave me free drinks in the Casino after the first night (maybe because of the large tip after first day??)  IDK but we will see what happens on the Harmony in January.  ☺️

Celebrity has started giving free drinks in the casino to players.  They check to see if you have a drink package but if you don't the "classic" level drinks are free.  They seem totally unconcerned about your casino level, they don't look at your card but do ask for your room number.  I will try for a free drink while playing on RCL to see how it goes.  All they can say is NO, then I will use one of my D vouchers.  Always worth a try, I certainly donate enough $$ to deserve a cheap free drink.

They always take my card (and my cash tip) and swipe it.
