nanseev Posted December 2, 2022 #1 Share Posted December 2, 2022 Going on the Navigator of the Seas in a month and we booked our first Junior Suite. We’ve been in NOTS 3 times before in a balcony. There are lots of suites available (mostly deck 9 and 10, but other decks have sporadic JS rooms), and I’m reading some rooms are different than others in the ship. Any suggestions that you have stayed in with a specific room that you’d recommend? We are casino people and will also spend time in Schooner. I enjoy the Promenade Cafe for my daily coffee and don’t want a huge walk to that, although not sure if the in-room coffee maker will make a difference (the room service coffee is horrible!). As of right now, no UDP. I definitely want a larger shower vs tube shower. Also, I know there aren’t many perks for JS - robe, early embark, coffeemaker, double points. I’ve read mixed answers on embark day lunch - does it exist on NOTS? I know I’ve seen people eating breakfast in Chops…I’m assuming that’s just windjammer food carried in to your seat there? I wish the Suite Lounge was available just to sit in a quiet area and play cards! thanks for any suggestions!
Coralc Posted December 2, 2022 #2 Share Posted December 2, 2022 Get one by the elevator, so you can pop up and down.

The coffee machine is nice, but I'm a bit careful not to use it early in the morning (so not to wake up my neighbor)...it gets loud when the coffee is brewing. I don't remember getting an embark lunch for JS...but you do get to check-in using the suite line. (We observed there was a b2b lunch and "Key" embark lunch this week on the NOTS.) Chops has cook-to-order food, but breakfast is only for suites (GS and above) and Pinnacles. * We have stayed in a number of JS's on the NOTS on deck 9, and they are pretty similar. Currently onboard the NOTS...in a balcony.
poocher Posted December 2, 2022 #4 Share Posted December 2, 2022 Off Explorer last month, we had a JS on deck 9. It was very convenient to the pool deck & WJ. Just a quick 2 flights up, no elevator needed. The walk-in closet was wonderful!
Tlbecker1 Posted December 2, 2022 #5 Share Posted December 2, 2022 We were just on the Navigator with a JS in Oct. There isn’t an embark lunch. Pinnacles and Suites eat breakfast in Chops, not JS. We really enjoyed the Navigator and their water slides are our favorite at sea. Great crew also!

The coffee machine is LAVAZZA - Italian style coffee - and it's good for Espresso or bit bigger cup but not an American style coffee.

Thanks.

pcur Posted December 2, 2022 #9 Share Posted December 2, 2022 Yes, I definitely have a cabin recommendation. It's 9614, and you step out of it and right into the lobby area for the stairs and elevators mid-ship. Very quiet though. I think it is an area that used to be larger suites that were cut down for JS cabins. I was blown away when I walked into it. HUGE cabin. The far wall opposite the door had the large slider for the balcony, but also a floor-to-ceiling stationary window to the left of the balcony door. Tons of light in this cabin. I actually started to laugh when I opened the door to the closet. It was ginormous! I laid down on the floor and did a full "snow angel" in it, and I'm 5'7" tall. I turned the chair and ottoman toward the balcony, and it was a wonderful place to sit and read. LOVED this cabin! Here's a video of the cabin: 1
