It also doesn't say what you want it to say, so IMO it provides no validity to your argument. What you want is the following, which says "Reserved" and "Full Sailing":

Well............I can clearly see where it says "Full sailing - 12 Days". My guess would be, that it would be a "Good argument".

They always have themselves covered.   Look at the bottom of the page with the list of packages for the T&C.

While I can see where their wording could lead people to misunderstand but it's pretty clear from pricing history it's pp/pd which is a 33% discount from the current list price.

And that's where I would get MAD.  When I went the the iLounge and they charged me $9.99 for 1 day and $15.00 per day for the rest of the cruise because I had one voucher!

This.  I also purchased the $9.99 upgrade voucher but I saw the "per person, per day" business too.  I also see it lets me put multiple in my cart.  I purchased the basic 2-device plan because I don't have all-included.  This is our first Celebrity cruise so I don't know how any of this works.  Does the voucher upgrade both of my devices?  Will they be jerks and say I have to pay $15 per day for the rest of the cruise onboard?  I would pay the $9.99 per day now if that's what it takes to have them just upgrade me for the whole cruise.  BUT it does say "full sailing" and "package" so it's so confusing!

For those that purchased a voucher, can you post a picture of the actual voucher that you received after you purchased it?

Am I correct that when purchasing a voucher there is no ability to enter a quantity of vouchers?

I would certain hope that purchasing a voucher would allow the voucher to be applied to each day of the cruise for the 33% discount.  $9.99 per day per person as stated.

I did not receive any "actual" voucher.

Something's rotten in Denmark.  I have a 11-night sailing on Summit and called to get my Elite+ discount.  They charged me $87.89 which comes out to $7.99 per day.  For the same sailing, they offer the Premium WiFi Upgrade Voucher for $9.99/per package.  It also says Full Sailing -- 11 Days.

Below in the small print it does say $9.99 per person per day.  So, the wording $9.99 per package should read $9.99/per package per day.

I guess it will take a phone call to the Captain's Club to get the true skinny.

I received no voucher. I assume it will be in my stateroom when I board, just like excursion tickets. There was no mechanism to enter a quantity of vouchers. You can only select which passenger(s) to apply the voucher to.

Just because I could, I DID call. Hector told me it was per person per day (read me that part because I apparently can't read for myself). I then read back to him the part about per package and Full Sailing, plus reminded him that there is no way to select any number of days.

He says he will talk with his supervisor about it. I suggested they need to update the web page QUICKLY as people are making the purchase now and will be VERY unhappy once aboard and are told they need to cough up more money (at the $15/day rate). I suggested they might have to find all those people who have made the purchase over the weekend and send them an email informing them of the mistake and tell them they need to purchase more.

This will play out two ways, they will honor those who bought it for the entire sailing, or they will anger a lot of people who will ask for their money back. PR-wise, they should honor the entire sailing.....me, I'm getting out the popcorn for the fallout!

Interesting. I think everyone else was afraid to call 😀 thanks for doing this...hopefully they honor the people who did buy it.

me, I'm getting out the popcorn for the fallout!  LOL.  Me thinks they won't care about the PR, with the current pricing they are charging to cruise on their ships, people are obviously paying it by the THOUSAND$, so a $5 or $6 increase or "misunderstanding" on the internet, don't beleive they will be to worried.

I do not know what it is so hard to understand that the voucher is one per day so the $9.99 price would be one device, one day per voucher.  If you want 7 days at $9.99 per day, buy seven vouchers. if you want two devices for $9.99 a day for 7 days, buy 14 vouchers.

If you called, you should have insisted on the Captain's Club discount on top of the $9.99/sailing upgrade!

Because the receipt you get clearly states the price you paid covers the duration of the cruise.

If it was just for a day, it would a) ask for a quantity you want to purchase and b) state that it was for one day and not the entire sailing.

I don't know why it's so hard for people to understand that we ALL agree X messed up. You most likely should have been charged 9.99 per day of your cruise, so 70 for a 7 day sailing, instead of 10. The only debate is whether or not they will honor their mistake.

If it's too good to be true it's a ln IT f up and you should jump on it before it goes away 😀

Please start at your own thingking, as there is clearly confirmed in my booking:

Premium Wi-Fi Upgrade Voucher

Full Sailing - 7 Days

So for me, I got a cheap upgrade and wont accept anything less. If it is a mistake / error fare => easy way to give me complimentary 6 additional days, as confirmed in my booking.

Conclusion:

'If it seems too good to be true, it's probably not true.'

Yes, or they made a mistake and have to deal with it...🙂

If you go into your cruise Planner, click on this upgrade package and READ what it says there is absolutely no ambiguity at all about what is being purchased -  "$9.99 per person per day"

And I do not know why it is so hard to understand that there is a remote possibility that Celebrity might just have an IT problem. We all get the intent of the voucher, there's no need for you to explain it ad nauseum. But the "package" and "full sailing" verbiage and the inability to select a quantity add some credibility to the IT issue. And if it isn't, it isn't. So we paid $9.99 for a day of premium internet. Big deal.

So I didn't want to be the first to call in case it was an IT mistake, but now that someone else has, I went ahead.

The rep assured me my internet had been upgraded to premium and there was nothing I needed to do once onboard (eg, go to the iLounge). She saw the voilucher and said it automatically did the upgrade.

I booked through a TA so I couldn't get a copy of my invoice from her, but she said my invoice will also reflect this. I will contact my TA and get an updated invoice.

If someone else can call and get the same answer it would make me feel better.

I called back and just asked what type of internet I had instead of asking if they saw my upgrade. The rep said premium so it looks good.

You called a second time? 🙂
