Room 12102 — I tried to find an answer on here but I didn’t see it. Apologies if this is a duplicated question. 
 

Why does this interior cabin look so different when you look on the deck plan? Is it bigger? Different layout?

Since no one has sailed on the Sun we can only guess that this interior cabin is configured differently than the normal interior. But just know that if you ever get the slightest bit sea sick this cabin might be your worst nightmare. All the way up front with no windows or fresh air.

 

 

When looking this cabin on the deck plans I came across this "diagram"  of what is designated as a Resrve Collection mini suite. Why does it look like a Cabana mini suite?

I cannot answer your question,  but it seems that the deck plans are pretty much to scale.

The longest 'length' seems to be the same as most others.  But maybe 1.3 or 1.4 times the width.

This means the layout could be similar to other balcony cabins.  more room to navigate around the bed.

This does not seem to be enough space for a couch...  

It will be interesting to see it when people board the ship!

A place that you might first see photos is cruise deck plans web-site.

 

While I would love the extra space, being that far forward would run it out for me!

My guess- accessibility as there are 2 aft facing ones designated as accessible.  Only guessing.  Another month and we should know more.

The cabana mini-suites on deck 9 are all designated 'Reserve',  with access to Reserve benefits.

The cabana mini-suites on higher decks, on the mid-ship sphere bump out are cabana mini-suites...  but it seems that these do not include the 'Reserve' benefits.

The ones with the Reserve benefits do have a higher fare.

The cabin I was looking at is NOT a Cabana cabin at all. It's designated as a reserve collection mini suite. Check the deck plans. If you click on the cabin the diagram and description pop up.

 

Actually maybe it's Princess that should check their deck plans.

I have 15442 which is a reserve mini suite   The first picture looks like a reserve cabana mini suite. Mistake?

I noticed this aswell more than a week ago. When i booked my M1 cabin the diagram was showing a mini-suite and i choose one with the bed in the middle of the room.

Now in the deck plans the diagram shows a Cabana cabin instead of what it did when i booked.

 

I hope it is a mistake by Princess and they are showing it like this now

I noticed that too and I was wondering if my understanding of Reserve Mini Suite was wrong.  The Princess diagram shows the Reserve mini suite the same as the Cabana mini suite (e.g. with that indoor conservatory).  I don’t think I’d like the separate sunroom because I’d feel it breaks up the space, making each space smaller. I’d rather have the openness of the floor plan of the regular mini suite.

I noticed this, too. I guess someone did too much of a cut and paste job when they set up the cabin info on the Princess site.  The top layout is indeed a cabana mini suite.  The bottom is a regular (could be reserve) mini suite.  These are almost exactly the way the Carnival Mardi Gras lowest level suites look.  Instead of the sofa by the front door, you will either have the bed or closets by the front door.  My preference is the closet because the room seems larger that way.  The sofa should always be by the balcony door.

About that interior cabin....  NOTICE that the square footage is 'average cabin size'.

This one def. seems to be unique.  The actual square footage is probably larger.

Noticed we are now in a new Cat DO. 14603 Aft which used to be a D4 Premium Deluxe Balcony 

It mentions Signature series with Signature benefits, any information on what this means.

We are on the Maiden TA in September

It’s the new App. I’m in a Signature suite too and it says Reserve Dining but I think it just means to Reserve your dining rather than Reserve Dining if that makes sense. Same thing shows with my Discovery reservation but the restaurants show.  I’m in a suite on Discovery as well.

No, I can’t see my Sun bookings on New app. I kept old app as well since I’m on Regal in February.

Old app says “Reserve Collection dining- do not need to make reservations.” For all my dates S9 &D0- aft.

That means for you to reserve your dining choice. My app looks like that for my cruise March 2 on Sky and I do not have reserve dining on that one 

 

My Oct 19 cruise is not on my app. How do you add a second cruise?

Yeah, the new app I had to use my booking number to log in. So currently I still have both apps.
