Survey regarding Venetian Society benefits

Have any of you also received it?  It strongly suggests that other RC lines are being considered for reciprocal benefits in addition to adding extra "points" for larger suites;  pre/post land excursions & expedition cruises.  It's going to be interesting to see what evolves from this survey.

Sounds like RCI are going to encourage its customers to try SS with incentives. 
 

Hope there is no intention of removing our SS perks or change milestones (unless for the better of course.)

I'm a little concerned this new proposal will dilute the value of our hard-earned Venetian days--kind of like airline points. Expanding the pool of rewards inevitably leads to price inflation. So I said that on my survey. Also said I have no interest in reciprocity because it's highly unlikely I'll book on the other lines.

I said much the same as FauxNom. I would bet that this survey, or one very much like it is being sent to other affiliate lines’ passengers.

Surveys.....we will ask the questions and seek the desired responses.   Now we can sell the decision we made six months ago.

 

Reciprocity is a non issue.  I've witnessed the benefits of top level on Celebrity and it seems the highlight is having the ability to drink Budweiser with an exclusive group happy hour everyday.   Hardly the Silversea equivalent to those aspiring to get free laundry.

 

Seabourn went to the points for extra spend a few years ago.   Nothing wrong with the system.

For those who didn't receive the Venetian Society survey, below you will find each screen as posed by Silversea. 

Personally, I was shocked by the questions measuring the likelihood of booking a cruise on their sister lines, in addition to measuring whether the new Silversea loyalty program's reciprocal benefits would entice a Silversea passenger to book a cruise on Royal Caribbean or Celebrity.  Does Silversea really want their passengers to trade down to their sister lines?  I don't know, but this reminds me of how Marriott destroyed the Ritz Carlton brand after acquiring it. 

I'd love to read others' thoughts on this proposal after reading the survey below.

I don't think any regular Silversea cruisers think this survey will make any difference to what has already been decided.  It is a very lame attempt at "gauging" members' opinions while giving the strong message that they don't really care.  It's more like a shot across the bow.

It’s more than likely to sell on the results. As M says it’s probably already decided.

In my opinion the survey is just to see how many might be upset about the "proposed' changes.

How to sell to those who respond negatively.
