Drink question Bushwhacker?

I don't see any of the threads about drinks up here currently,  but I wanted to ask.  I am noticing that I don't see a bushwhacker on the drink menus.  Does anybody here order these or see these on the ships?   In the Caribbean on the Regal, that might be a good one!

Not much for sweet drinks myself, but I looked up the ingredients.  Several here have commented on how much they like Princess' Dirty Banana, which you might find to your liking. For me, Princess makes the best Negroni.

No, it's not listed in the menus. Yes, they can make it, although you may have to tell them proportions. 

It's very much a St Thomas specialty/USVI, not so popular elsewhere in the Caribbean...

I believe the bushwacker drink is from st. Thomas. It's a drink made at I think it's called paradise point you take a ski lift up the mountain.

They are actually more common all around the Caribbean, I think, now!

I will have to look up the Negroni!

This is disappointing.  All NLC ships serve Bushwackers. One of my favorite drinks.

Had Bushwhackers on Emerald Princess Panama Canal cruise as well as Regal Princess  TA  this year.  Liked the ones on Emerald but not the one on the Regal.

It may depend on the bartender without a recipe they may just be improvising.

Maybe I will take the basic recipe on the Regal!  Hopefully the adult pool bar can make a decent one!  There are always pina coladas and dirty bananas too for that kind of drink!

 

I think I have seen these at Grand Cayman, Bahamas, and even Florida now.

Very much not a thing in my  Caribbean country, FWIW. A few bartenders know it from their travels - most guests who try ordering know it's very homegrown to USVI.. yes, it's spreading, but definitely not common around the Caribbean... 

Any competent bartender can make it, of course..

Make up several "cards" with the name and ingredients as well as mixing directions. Leave one at each bar. They will be happy to make the drink for you and you won't have to explain it each time. Just make a Word doc with the info repeated multiple times and cut it into individual recipe cards.

Just off the Enchanted and another passenger also gave me this idea.

I only found  ONE bartender all over the ship could make a Dry Manhattan, in spite of the fact that I said each time I ordered, "That's with DRY vermouth, not sweet". I don't have time to type all the variations that I got over the 10 days, it actually became comical.

 

For the uninitiated, it's not one of those ridiculous blender concoctions that people drink only on a ship. It's a classic cocktail with two ingredients. Three, if you count the ice. Bourbon, and dry vermouth.
