Rare NutsAboutGolf Posted December 21, 2022 #2 Share Posted December 21, 2022 Night show will is 7PM and is repeated 9PM, will most likely be one night a comedian, one night a magician and the rest musicals...Also there is a nightly 8PM passenger participation like charades If you're looking for something to do at night while in Aruba we always stay around the waterfront, many restaurants with great views of the water

DH & I love the magic but it is like a 35 minute cab ride one way. Dining does not commence until 5 p.m. Food is fabulous!!

I was quoting from pre-covid but we have an ABCs cruise coming up in the spring and earlier dining time may help. It is possible to make a reservation on the restaurant's website in advance of cruise (strongly recommend this since VERY popular restaurant; no charge if cancel). Rare NutsAboutGolf Posted December 22, 2022 #8 Share Posted December 22, 2022 For those who would prefer to skip the 35min cab ride each way, the West Deck is my favorite spot and is within walking distance. I have local friends in the area and they say this is generally the only waterfront restaurant they go to in the "tourist" area, they usually eat far inland. It has 4.5* on 4,5XX reviews
Rare Jim_Iain Posted December 22, 2022 #9 Share Posted December 22, 2022 I've found that on Late Departures they usually carry out the normal schedule for dining and entertainment. You may wish to consult the Celebrity App and they will list the activities and shows in the Daily Planner. To see all filter on All activities as opposed to the default - Favorites

phoenix_dream Posted December 22, 2022 #11 Share Posted December 22, 2022 Generally on later departures or overnights, the dining times stay the same and sometimes the shows. On occasion we have seen them hold only one show at night rather than two in these situations. Lounge entertainment times are usually the same. We've also had situations in overnights in Aruba where they kept the casino open regular hours (also in Curacao) which doesn't usually happen in other ports. Iguana cafe, walk over the platoon bright turn left and it’s right there…it’s affordable good food but you’re there to people watch and watch the bridge open and close…Could just have a couple drinks there if you want to eat somewhere else
PelicanLvr Posted December 24, 2022 #14 Share Posted December 24, 2022 Suggest a sunset dinner on the beach at "Passions of the Beach" located at the Amsterdam Manor Hotel on Eagle Beach. You can probably be back onboard for the 9pm show....but we didn't rush back.
Duanerice1 Posted December 24, 2022 #15 Share Posted December 24, 2022 Hate when they arrive late and stay late. Would rather get there at 7 and start our day. We usually rent a car and explore on our own. Not much happening on the island after dark so it’s kind of wasted time to us. But I see why they do it, the next port is 20 minutes away. Lol I’m surprised how many people eat dinner ashore. We usually head back to the ship, as it’s docked right in town, have dinner then might get off to hit a bar or just stay on and enjoy the ship. Food isn’t that important to us, not foodies, so ship food is more than enough. enjoy

(We generally know what we'll get onboard). 🙂

Love the food onboard and have no real interest in finding other food onshore, especially in a place like the Caribbean. Maybe I’d feel differently cruising someplace like Europe. Also seems silly to me to pay all that money for nice meals and then go eat elsewhere. But to each their own. If someone enjoys it, then good for them. We have no problem hitting a local bar for a drink and snack though.
