Good morning friends and Merry Christmas to everyone!  It's 8 degrees, no make that 10 degrees!  The sun is out!  No teenager up yet here, just the 9 month old puppy Sadie.  Today we're preparing a spiral sliced ham along with lasagna and Italian bread.  To accompany the ham will be scalloped potatoes and green bean casserole.  We have a pumpkin pie in the oven and DDIL will bring a chocolate and an apple pie with them when they arrive from Ann Arbor.  It's not often we have the menu suggestion (ham) and the celebration day (pumpkin pie) all on the same day!

Thanks to Rich and Roy, Dixie, Ann and Debbie for their devoted duties performed for us on the Daily.  Prayers for those in need and cheers to all on the Celebration list.

Today is another new port day, Wellington, New Zealand.  A memorable day from a past visit on Dec. 2, 2017 while on Sun Princess.  We had a shuttle drop us off downtown and walked a few blocks to the Cable Car ticket counter.  00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVLEWnN52IfOrC0yemhEiUld?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1671981394

This is where they load and unload.00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVIdtwTsepU48pBhvf7p0y6H?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1513625732

It actually seems like a funicular to me, but once on top we stopped to take a photo of the view up there with the cable car going past.00-krGnVk_TmW1vjXOSXmrbNCgtIzRKIF36hrdhGheqtVJiz4UW3Y8j-hB-di-TOciM?cn=THISLIFE&res=medium&ts=1513625767

Good morning, thanks for the Fleet Report and Daily!  Merry Christmas from DH and I to all my Daily family; whether you celebrate Christmas or not, I wish you a time of peace, happiness and good health.

Like some of you, we’re sitting in the glow of a Christmas tree, waiting for the grands to wake up and start the shrieks of delight that could soften even the hardest of hearts.  The cinnamon buns are cooling on the counter, the buns are rising in the pans, and we’re enjoying the moment.

We had our Christmas ham yesterday, so today we’ll enjoy turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, a mixture of vegetables, and for dessert, birthday cake, as I celebrate another trip around the sun.  And wine.

Prayers for all who are in need,  loud cheers for everyone who is celebrating.  Be safe, stay well.

Smooth Sailing!  🙂🙂🙂

Gerry.

Happy Birthday Gerry! Enjoy the day with the family and stay warm on the frozen tundra!

Hello to all and a

VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

Sorry i have not been posting, but the internet has been pathetic and I have just given up.

Today we are in San Juan and it is a little bit better so I am trying to post before we leave.

The weather has been perfect, however we had to skip St. Barts yesterday because of sea swells.  We were supposed to go to St. Maarten but that did not work either because the berth we were assigned was not protected and we had trouble docking.  So we ended up with an unplanned Sea Day.

Tomorrow is Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic and then a Sea Day and then we disembark.

The news with my house is that the painting is done and the flooring will be finished by the time we are back.  We will be ready to move in a soon as everything is moved back in,.  The Master Bath will not be done, but we will live with that until it is finished.

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and is safe and warm.

God Bless,

Terri

Merry Christmas and a  Happy Hanukah to all members of the Daily Family !

We are save and sound at home with all the major highways around us still closed so our DD and family for the next few days at least will still be obstructed from crossing the border in Buffalo . So sad that this had to happen after 2 years of Covid restrictions we might not see DD’s family again for these Holidays .

Also hope we will get a break in a few days so we will be able to fly to San Diego after the New Year

Few pictures of when we were in  Wellington , New Zealand in April 2013 on the Oosterdam and toured the city on our own to the wonderful Te Papa museum where we spend a few hours to learn a lot about New Zealand and than we took the Cable Car up to one of the large hills in the city to walk back down through the beautiful Botanical Gardens

Merry Christmas!  And Happy last day of Hanukkah!

We are going to my DM’s senior living residence for Christmas lunch. It’s a buffet with a Sirloin Roast and Salmon Wellington as the main course. We will take a bottle of Kim Crawford because their wine is horrible. I’m thinking about taking the ingredients for a B52 as an after dinner treat. DM loves Bailey’s!  I just think it won’t be layered like it’s supposed to be.

Gerry @ger_77 — Happy Birthday!!  Enjoy your special day!  And Birthday Cake for dessert, yum.

Have a great day everyone!

Merry Christmas Everyone.  My best wishes for all of us, either aboard a BHB or elsewhere!  I've yet to do a Christmas cruise, preferring our regular holiday activities.  I love our Florida Orchestra, church with candlelight service and being with friends.

Salmon is on our dinner list for today's get together, but salmon wellington sounds even better!  Would that be a Westminster facility?  Oh, and what is today's port...Wellington, New Zealand!  Coincidence, I think not.

Hello again everyone,

Since the internet seems to have revived itself, I thought I would share some photos of the lovely gifts we received last night and this morning from Oceania.

Note, we are not in the top suites and do not have very high status ( this is our 8th cruise).

The first photo is a charcuterie board and the second is a Bulgari toiletry set.

Now the problem is getting them home.  I knew we should have driven rather than fly.

A very Merry Christmas from the Noordam

We had a wonderful day yesterday at sea. Today we are in Napier and it is warm with bright blue skies. Had rained just before our arrival.
Going out to see this art deco town.

Stay safe and enjoy today

Happy birthday, Gerry  !🎂

Happy Hanukkah, too, to those celebrating.

One great memory of when we lived in Virginia was the lovely spiral sliced honey-baked hams.  We had to make an appointment to pick ours up and drive almost to Richmond to get it!  But no hams here have ever lived up to those.

We will be six this evening, (two vegans) so there will be a mix of turkey, mushroom loaf, lots of veg and DD made a vegan Queen of Sheba cake and vegan creme caramel (can you imagine that?)
