It happened on the Whisper in March, 5 days before we got off. Luckily 3 of those were dry days in Saudi 🍾

When David was on here last segment he mentioned that. He said the first thing the Saudis asked was “where’s the booze”. I don’t know if true or false!

Wonderful, I’ve only ever stopped by on cruises. It’s a Lovely Island.  Did you pop into Blandy’s whilst you were there?

Suspicion’s confirmed:

We were being served Bluetop while being told it was Pommery.

The bottle was never displayed and was told it was Pom after inquiring after a time or two.

Same menu on the Muse  expect entrees were Dover Sole   Roast Venison  and also the beef

Did you by chance try the salmon main course?  It looks like a new method of preparing that fish (Champagne and cream sauce), and I'd love to know if it turned out well.

Chas, do you know if they served the same dinner menu in both of Whisper’s large venues; La Terrazza and The Restaurant?

 

Also, it’s super disappointing to read that a wine steward would try and pass off Blue Top as Pomm.
