RCmommy Posted January 1, 2023 #1 Share Posted January 1, 2023 Perhaps a place with a nice view or even just a cool atmosphere? If not, just good food would be great! We don’t like seafood. (Weird I know) 🥴
Tom.Terrific Posted January 1, 2023 #2 Share Posted January 1, 2023 We live on the coast in Alabama and have plenty of great fresh caught seafood (that we enjoy) here all year. So when we travel we're not looking for more fresh seafood. Our restaurant of choice in Galveston is Miller's Seawall Grill. They serve great seafood as well as a myriad of non seafood selections. For breakfast, lunch or dinner, you can't miss. You can see their menu here.
huntnewt Posted January 1, 2023 #3 Share Posted January 1, 2023 The Spot, Old Moon Deli, Mario's on Seawall, LaKing's for sweets, and there are many Landry's properties in Galveston as it is where Landry's was founded. Brick House and Fisherman's Wharf just to name a couple.
ATSEAMYLIFE Posted January 1, 2023 #4 Share Posted January 1, 2023 For food the Cajun Greek is outstanding, but not much of a view. Woody's Bar no food, but fun place for a drink right on the beach.

For your information Tillman Fertitta was a partner in the first Landry's Seafood Restaurant in Texas , which opened its doors in Katy, Texas, in 1980. A year later, he partnered to open the more upscale Willie G's Seafood & Steaks in nearby Houston. In 1986, Fertitta gained controlling interests of both restaurants and the Landry's, Inc. brand began to take off. Landry's family is from Louisiana Landry Restaurant fame, and Tillman is not Landry family, but was born in Galveston of Maceo family . Landry's, Inc., is an American, privately owned, multi-brand dining, hospitality, entertainment and gaming corporation headquartered in Houston, Texas. Landry's, Inc. owns and operates more than 600 restaurants, hotels, casinos and entertainment destinations in 35 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. The company also owns and operates numerous international locations. Tilman Joseph Fertitta is an American entrepreneur and television personality, who currently serves as the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and sole owner of Landry's, Inc., Co-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Landcadia Holdings, Inc., Chairman at Houston Children's Charity, Chairman at Golden Nugget, Inc., Chairman at Houston Police Foundation, Chief Executive Officer at The Oceanaire, Inc., and Chairman at University of Houston System Board of Regents. He is best known for his ownership of Landry's, Inc., which is one of the largest restaurant corporations in the United States. With a net worth exceeding $3 billion as of September 2017, he has been called the “World’s Richest Restaurateur” by ‘Forbes.’ The son of a small-time seafood restaurateur, he nurtured big ambitions from a young age. He started investing in the stock market when he was in high school and was well on his way to establish his own business by the time he reached his early twenties. With his hard work and determination, he managed to establish himself as one of the most successful restaurateurs in the United States. Tillman isn't part of the Maceo family except by marriage. I believe his great aunt was married to a Maceo. That being said, we know how those mafia "families" worked. Although, the Texas Italians weren't at the same level as those in New York, Chicago, etc.
