How long have passport renewals been taking?

I submitted my online renewal this evening. The emailed submission confirmation stated it is currently taking 6-9 weeks to process routine applications, 3-5 weeks for expedited.

Same here.    We paid the extra fee and mine came in about 2 weeks, DH's was a couple days later.

We sent ours in normal.  Received by passport office on 7 Nov and we got ours exactly 7 weeks later  with both Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays in that timeframe.  Tracking on website never showed anything but in process.  Got old passports back about 3 weeks later.

I did online renewal a week ago, and it is just saying ‘received’.  My current passport was expiring on the 23rd.  I don’t have anything booked, but if I want to go before the new one comes, it would on,y be to the Bahamas, so I could use my BC.  Not that I would be comfortable doing that, because in 45 years of travel, I’ve always had a passport.  EM

Submitted online renewal in early November. I am at over 10 weeks now and still processing.

Applied for Kid's third passport at the post office yesterday (1/19) in the afternoon. Clerk said it'll go out later in the evening and the passport people will get it Monday or Tuesday.

Thanks everyone! I just checked the website...it now says approved & that we should have the passports next week!
