To the left as you're sitting in it looking at the water... should have mentioned that!

I think you are correct.

I remember a plant bed close in front. The bed is at the side like yours but it looks smaller overall. To the side they store the floats.

it also has the hammock attached to the post. Maybe we will be neighbors one day?

That's what confused me so much -- I haven't done anything different with this card than I've done with any other SeaPass card for the past 5+ years.  I have a soft/gel case on my phone, and I peel it back and store my card between the phone and the cover.  It's never been demagnetized on any other cruise, and I've been on several ships with the "old" magnetic strip instead of the RFID chip.

I was in the same room with the same phone case storage all week last week and didn't have a problem.

I think the issue with the card in the casino was just a fluke, and the issues with my door were a problem with the lock mechanism, rather than the card itself.

Oh well, it gave me something to write about on what is ordinarily a pretty boring day for me! LOL

My favorite was when my wife and I were on the Anthem and we couldn't find our room keys on our door on embarkation day.  Turns out the room steward put them on our bed for us instead of in the door slot.

Tonight was "Royal Night" and "Dress to Impress".

As for "Dress to Impress" night, I couldn't be bothered to change before dinner, so I was wearing my black t-shirt with "Sarcasm -- just one of my many talents" on it.  As I was hightailing it out of dinner to make my 9pm reservation for Mamma Mia, I passed a familiar table, but we didn't realize it at first.  John and company were seated at a four-top along the railing.  My t-shirt must not have been too impressive!

We laughed, because after spending three days straight together at beaches, we didn't recognize each other with our clothes on instead of bathing suits!  🤣

When we saw it in April, the performer who played the daughter had a very nasally, whiny-sounding voice. I think that may be why I didn't enjoy it as much as other cruisers seem to. I assume the performer that played the daughter in your performance didn't sound like that?

You jinxed me!!!

Last week, the performer playing Sophie sounded fine, but tonight for the first half of the show, at least 80% of her singing was very nasal/whiny sounding!  She was fine in the second half, though.  Last week I saw the afternoon show instead of the 9pm show, not sure if that made the difference or what?

Here are a few finale pictures for @Ocean Boy (and the rest of you).  Sorry about the quality, but I was zooming in from the last row of the bottom balcony:

When I brought the GoPro back to John at noon on Roatan day, I chatted with them for five or ten minutes, then grabbed my gear and headed back out again... I think they thought I was insane!

I guesstimate that I swam about a mile that day (using the Google Maps measuring tool), which sounds pretty impressive until you realize that it took me five hours to go that distance!

Roatan's West Bay Beach is one of my fave snorkeling spots, for this reason... I can snorkel as much as I want, and don't have to take a boat excursion and be limited by how long the excursion lets you spend in the water (and be constantly kicked and run into by newbies who don't know what they're doing).  Bonaire and Curacao also have great shore snorkeling.

Yep, you and I would have a great time snorkeling together! If there’s a lot of marine life or healthy coral where I am, I’ll just float there watching what’s going on until I see something in the distance that inspires me to start swimming again. I’m actually a long time certified scuba diver, but as I’ve gotten a whole lot older than I used to be I’m finding myself choosing snorkeling over diving for a whole lot of reasons. I haven’t totally given up on diving yet though. I still want to enjoy it while I can. I’m thinking of diving in Grand Cayman on our cruise in April.

If you want some really great snorkeling nest time you’re in Cozumel, try Sky Reef! They’re a small beach bar not too far from where Royal ships dock and have several different entry plans to choose from ranging from all inclusive food and drink to the very basic plan we chose which allowed us use of their facilities to snorkel, snorkel gear rental if you need it, one drink each, a 5 minute massage each, and a tequila tasting.

I was about to post a few pictures from my underwater camera, but when I went looking for them I realized that I don’t have them accessible in this tablet. I could have sworn I had some here. I’ll go get some moved where Incan get them and post them over the weekend. I need to head to bed before it gets any later. In the meantime check out their website at http://www.skyreefcozumel.com

As John said, it was a soggy day, but I enjoyed it anyway.

I had my own palapa:

And my palapa was right near the bar:

IMG_20230127_094928167_HDR.thumb.jpg.0a38a8a0277620cf4393ed0a249afc6e.jpg

So the beverages came fast and furious:

My appetizer was nachos... there was also a side of salsa that came with it, but not pictured (you can see the little gravy boat of salsa in one of John's pictures, that's the same as I had with my nachos):

And I chose the fruit salad with lemon sherbet as well:

Had to take a foot picture for @Ocean Boy:

And a sandy close-up of the purple polished piggies🤣:

I had the fajitas for my entree -- oh, you can see the gravy boat of salsa in this pic:

And here you can see some weirdo taking pictures on the beach:

Yep, you guessed it, I took pictures of @Ozark_Kid taking pictures!  No clue who the lady in the picture is -- I didn't have time to move in order to reframe the picture:

Love all the photos from Nachi Cocom,

Thank you!  Brought back some good memories.

Yes, drinks are included at Nachi Cocum!

And the Bloody Marys Jose turns out are some of the best ever!  I usually start with them and keep going until lunch!  LOL  Then I switch to those pink things he makes.

Ditto, my hubs is a Master Diver me just open water cert.  But at 72 I just can't drag all that equipment around any more so I'm done.  Snorkeling is the ticket and I have one of the newer snorkel masks that I like and you never have to clear your mask.

I noticed it too.  Here high range sounded slightly off to me but it didn't take away how the show was great.

I will be on a sailing identical to this one except that I will have two grandchildren. (ages 5 and 7).  Your port days sound like so much fun.  Would you recommend taking the kids to those same locations?

We have Grandkids that age and we would take them.  We actually enjoy being with them anywhere we go. The places we visited did not cater to that age group such as slides and other toys.  They would have to self entertain.  The last two places are laid back.

@Ocean Boy yes, I would enjoy a more comfortable chair.  Suite Balconies are much more comfortable but also has the room for it.

Why they chose chair with short backs that don't adjust is beyond me.

I would love an adjustable size.  There is not much space on the balcony but an adjustable back chair should work.  I wonder if they are better on a Jr suite.

We decided to relocate. Much more comfy.

Glad you made it safe and I hope getting there was smooth.

We were in the Windjammer a couple hours ago.  Had a good breakfast.

I thought I would take this time to catch up but it is so sunny I can hardly see the screen to type. Most of the catch up will have to come later.

Here is an attempt of one I started.

When researching Roatan I saw several suggest don't just get off and Rome around outside the port.  After walking out of the gate I was so happy we listened.  Here are a couple of pics that doesn't show half of how hectic it is.

😂 I hope I just posted the right pics.  I can hardly see.  Later.
