We were on the Vista in Late Oct 2022.  Yes it is 9am to 4am all the pizza you can eat.  One of the adult

kids was getting their share of pizza and the hours worked out great.

The softserve is still 24 hours, but some of the stations close late and you have limited spots, but there still ice cream 7 x 24.

Not the case in the cruise I got off of last week and directly contradicts new Carnival policy.

Just off the Miracle today.  No 24 hr ice cream.  It didn't open until 11 AM, and not sure exactly when it closed, I think it was around 11 PM or midnight.  Pizza open until 4 AM.

FYI (not being snarky) but I think there is now a curfew for minors.  Not sure what it is because my kids are too young to wander around by themselves anyway.

1am for 17 and under if not accompanied by someone 21 or over from all public areas

From Carnival.com

Edit: from their traveling party

Even if there isn't a curfew, this could also have a secondary effect of issuing a stealth curfew. Without pizza or ice cream, less reason to stay up all night.

I know this usually results in getting attacked for my pizza demand privilege, but this is a non-issue. I just came back from the Celebration. Not going to lie, I absolutely dreaded getting into that pizza line, knowing how they usually are. It turned out to be the fastest pizza line ever on a Carnival cruise. Even the late nights, they had a basketball team making pizza and a guy handing out slices just made. This was a FAR better experience than the FOMO of 24/7 availability.

If it's anything like what I had on Vista 2 weeks ago you're not missing anything. Good for my carb/calorie intake because that crust was like the texture of somewhere between very hard drywall and thin bricks. Coupled with almost all crust and no sauce.

Like someone else said, I dreaded going late night and waiting in line but there was one person there leaving as I got there, so no line. But just a few pizzas waiting for consumption and the guy wouldn't make a fresh one unless I wanted something that wasn't available. That one time was the only time I went the entire cruise, and I'm definitely someone who'd go multiple times, mainly after midnight, on each cruise.

My son, who went almost nightly with friends from the teen club, actually only ate it once or twice. The description he gave me was, "like eating really hard, stale, old bread." That guy loves pizza too! At just over 100 pounds he has polished off a large pizza on his own before, but didn't even bother with the plate sized pizzas onboard.

Just did the Sunshine and Pride in the past few months and NO 24 hour soft serve.

Pretty soon Carnival will cut back Guys burgers to a couple of hours at lunch and the buffett in two hour windows at each meal.

The days of cruising your way and eating on your schedule are swiftly coming to an end.

Apparently long gone are  the happy days we once enjoyed of 24 hour pizza and ice cream....midnight buffets....and free room service. Cutback Carnival strikes again. 😞

but the cruises are cheap so you're expected to just grin and bear it according to this forum. quality doesn't matter as long as it's cheap.

It's definitely true...bad sea day is better ..but I'm now retired...so no more office. I also didn't mention Carnival's new Lido bacon every other day BS! 😀

There are plenty of options out there for those who continue to demand lines cater to their specific wants. No one is stopping you from going on a line with your free pizza 24/7, room service, ice swan at midnight, all for triple the fare.

I love thread titles where you have to click on the thread to find out what it's about. It's like a little surprise!

Or you can hold your cursor over the thread title and get a preview of the first post. At least on Chrome with my laptop. Might not work on a phone.

the big lie is people saying you have to spend 3X carnivals prices to get an experience like carnival used to provide. Absolutely not true. Might be true if you compare another line’s brochure rate to a carnival casino rate maybe, but compare as similarly as you can and I’ve never seen it be 3X more.

Not on Vista last month. They shut them all down right around the cutoff time.

But those casino, shops and bars aren't getting hours cut short.   💸
