DJLDRUMS Posted February 1, 2023 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2023 In mid March we're stopping in St. Croix, St. Kitts, St. Thomas. A small group of us are looking for beaches that are would be the best, and closest to the Cruise Ports for swimming, (not rocky, we're not going to snorkel) and rents lounges and umbrellas. We've been to Magen's Bay many times so that's off our list. Anyone out there with your suggestions are much appreciated, thanks in advance. George C Posted February 1, 2023 #2 Share Posted February 1, 2023 My all time favorite beach is Trunk bay a short ferry ride from St Thomas in St John.

soccer2010 Posted February 2, 2023 #4 Share Posted February 2, 2023 St Kitts - Reggae Beach Bar in Cockleshell Bay. You won't be disappointed. Reggae Beach Bar – Live De Life (reggaebeachbar-grill.com)
Sunshine3601 Posted February 2, 2023 #5 Share Posted February 2, 2023 St Kitts - Love Love Love - Carambola Beach Club https://www.carambolabeachclub.com/ easy to get a taxi outside the cruise port (near the clock tower) Shipwreck right down the beach from Carambola is a good one too. They both offer loungers, umbrellas, beautiful water, food and drink with a great view (Nevis right across the way). St Thomas - I agree with George C above - Trunk Bay by ferry to St Johns is a great option St Croix- Fredriksted beach (have only been her 2 or 3 times - but is nice and would go back)
Rare foodsvcmgr Posted February 2, 2023 #6 Share Posted February 2, 2023 Not sure of the name but the beach in St. Croix directly next to the cruise pier was a 5 minute walk and actually quite nice. St. John is nice but you will spend as much or more time in transit from the pier in St. Thomas than actually on the beach.

We will be in St Croix next month, years ago we did that beach just a couple hundred yards from ship , they had beach chairs and a nice little bar , most likely will do that again just go left from dock.

No we are on a music charter on celebrity summit, also not sure about umbrellas and chairs in trunk bay , that beach was backdrop for a few movies. My first visit was 1979. Love voyager class sailed her many years ago from Galveston. Edited February 2, 2023 by George C

And that's why Cruise Critic has the ports of calls boards. That's where you research what to do at the ports.
