Best Carnival value youve booked?

All bets are off for casino offers.

I got some good prices back when I first started cruising Carnival, around 2014, due to the fallout from the poop cruise, concordia disaster, etc., tarnishing the industry. That was before I was eligible for casino rates.

The only Carnival cruises I book now are free (I pay deposit, they give me the deposit back in the form of OBC) thanks to casino offers.

Extended balcony on Mardi Gras. $100 deposit given as OBC. $200 casino credit. First time getting balcony offers. Always lots of interior and OV casino offers always with drinks on us while playing in the casino. Still have never got drinks anywhere offer. Have been getting free Australia cruises offers since before Australia opened back up but the airfare is $$$$.

Wish I could take advantage of a long cruise like that. I guess you could also put together some BTBTB to skip the high air. I have a Hawaii cruise that my best offer was $300 OBC and drinks in the casino but no great discounted fare. Even when it was just about sold out some on that cruise got a free casino offer.

Upcoming cruise

22-Day Luminosa, Brisbane to Seattle, stopping in Fiji, Tahiti, Moorea and Honolulu

Balcony cabin

$100 pp refunded in a $200 on-board credit

A lot of free play and free drinks everywhere for both of us.

Since we've finally retired and this came up, how could we say no?  An amazing deal and even if I totally lose the money I plan to play, still not sure how it's a money maker

We were going to do the 30-day Seattle to Brisbane in the fall, but learned grand baby V2.0 is landing in August and no way grandmomma was going to go away for that long, so I swapped it to early April only a couple weeks ago while on Celebration.

I had that booked.

Seattle to 3 stops in Alaska, then 4 stops in Japan, 1 in Philippines and one in Indonesia...heck of an itinerary...Need airfare to fly back home to the USA

They told me it was roundtrip by ship. They may be wrong for all I know. What ship was it?

 It's the Luminosa, it's a reposition.

The "To the USA" is in a month, where it'll sail Brisbane to Seattle and then do Seattle-Alaska cruises and then in the fall is that 30 day trip back to Brisbane for their summer season during our fall.

Yesterday I booked an inside cabin on the Pride, 8n Panama Canal (partial transit). It was $50 pp with $50 pp OBC. It was a last min casino offer that I’ve had for the last few weeks and was waiting specifically for this one. I don’t spend much in the casino so this was a surprise deal that I couldn’t resist.

Oh how I wish I could have gone last year when they were offering insane deals for Alaska.

I booked it in march of last year! I go in May. It was a casino offer so I get fun play and free drinks everywhere. It was one of those deals that I just booked without even thinking of vacation time or anything else.lol

Yeah my wife and I specifically wanted to cruise to Alaska in 2024 for our 10 year. But now we are thinking of pushing Alaska further out and doing Hawaii next year. So I wish I would have gone ahead and taken advantage of those deals last year...live and learn.

We got two "free" cruise offers from Carnival several (many?) years ago.  Neither were casino offers (we don't gamble at all).  We took advantage of both offers upgrading to balcony staterooms both times for fairly minimal costs.

The best was a 11 night Journeys cruise from Galveston to San Juan on the Triumph.  Upgraded to an aft wrap balcony for a total of like $1100 total for two people.

Ports were Grand Cayman, Aruba, Bonaire, Granada, Martinique and St Maarten.  Absolutely fabulous and the longest I've been at sea!

Never could figure out why we got two deals within a year or so.  And have never received any other "free" deals since!

Cheers..

Not a casino offer, I don’t gamble. Booked a solo Princess Discovery 7 day Mexican Riviera  last November in a balcony with the drink package, gratuities and Wi-Fi, for a total of $1,088. No single supplement. Just got off a 10 day Princess cruise two months prior but this was too good to pass up.

I've had some decent casino offers, best was a 10 day balcony for taxes and port charges on Celebrity.  WE've done maybe 8 week long free balconies on Celebrity as well.  Carnival will just give me an interior or sometimes an OV, that's all.

I won't do an EB TA, after 5 time changes, I was looking for breakfast and the ship was doing lunch.  Will only do WB TAs or TPs, easier for me to handle that time change.

Best “deal” for me was 4/2014 Dream reposition from Canaveral to NewOrleans. Booked a Cloud 9 Balcony solo and paid supplement at regular early saver rates. While waiting for cruise they had a very short window of no solo supplements, my PVP said yes, I could match new rate. I had well over $1k obc and got a few hundred back in cash at end of cruise that I didn’t spend. Never any special casino or upgrade offers.

2013 Carnival Freedom in the Western Caribbean. I thought we had a decent price, and then there were I forget whether it was 2 or 3 price drops. And then in addition our cabin was upgraded.

Our TA was supposed to send us a small check after we completed the cruise, but I told him not to as I could not see how he was making any money on this cruise!

This breaks my heart.  That is free for us as well and we cannot make it.  Seattle, alaska, japan, australia.........What a great cruise.

We just booked a Q4 12 nt Venezia cruise from NY, $100 oceanview.  (Granted its a casino offer)

Whats the best bang for the buck youve booked on Carnival?

Ive never had 6 sea days on any cruise this is gonna be different!

Well we have several offers with multiple sailings where its free and we get $500 obc and the usual freeplay so theres that.  Get paid to cruise.  That considering that we never qualified on carnival in the first place.  They just matched royal's casino status.

We just did that one.  Was a decent cruise.  I would suggest booking a tour in limon or don't get off.  The boat tour was reasonably interesting.  The rainforest walking tour did not have any wildlife viewing (except for poison frogs).
