whtabtbob Posted March 2, 2023 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2023 Do you need to upload a picture to the navigator app in order to utilize the facial recognition check in during embarkation? I called customer service and they couldn't answer how or where, telling me to contact Navigator support by email. They have not responded. I haven't been able to locate anywhere for an upload. We sail in 12 days, so thinking maybe that service pops up closer to departure.
Rare 3rdGenCunarder Posted March 2, 2023 #2 Share Posted March 2, 2023 I didn't upload a pic. I think the kiosk took it because nobody else did.

Dismomx5 Posted March 4, 2023 #6 Share Posted March 4, 2023 I've loaded pictures the past two trips for both hubby and me. And both times, hubby passed right on through, and I was hauled aside and had to retake the picture. Not sure if it was because it was a selfie (so backwards) or not. That happened to my husband and me on another cruise line also. I think your explanation about it being backwards is probably correct. Didn't think of that!
whtabtbob Posted March 7, 2023 Author #9 Share Posted March 7, 2023 "Add Security Photo" button just popped up yesterday on the home page of Navigator, 8 days out from sailing. Located at top, between Boarding Pass and FAQ buttons.

Our APP is not allowing us to upload or take pic pre-cruise. I have deleted APP, added it again, restarted my phone. RCCL worked perfectly pre-cruise. I give up. Any ideas? SilvertoGold Posted March 13, 2023 #11 Share Posted March 13, 2023 Never done the photos and would never bother. Last year at Canada Place there were problems with HAL taking the photos and they used old photos from our past cruises which were still in their computer system.
