Is buying on board credit in advance still a thing for Brits

Hi, haven't been on Royal Caribbean since pre covid. We use to be able to buy on board credit ($) in advance at a good rate for our £'s.  Is this still a thing?

Is it worth doing,  rather than just use a credit card at our lousy rate 🤔

Maybe you could consider getting a card that lets you have multiple currencies on it. I use Wise and somebody who posts elsewhere has Revolut.

I work out roughly how much I think I'll need in USD or GBP and put that amount onto the card a few days before I go. That way I only pay one transaction fee and the exchange rate is usually pretty good as well.

It also has the benefit of not tying up cash from your main account if that might be an issue for you.
