I noticed on Mille a few weeks ago that Now they no longer Show on the screen the Names of those (who bought cards) and have one or 2  Matches  or more. The host just says Go to the Casino Cashier After 7 PM and show your Sea Pass Card and they will Tell you if you have won any Match Play $$.

The whole point is to get You to go to the Casino.

Last week on the Edge they listed the names of winners on the big screen.  They were also telling people to go to the Casino Cashier to double check if they won or to get winnings but the cruise director left out the detail about after xx time.  Everyone was going directly to the Casino after the game only to be told (after waiting in a line there) that they had to come back after 4pm.

We did a Carnival cruise last month and they had 3 or 4 bingo sessions on a 6 night cruise. Not sure they cater to an older crowd.

That's interesting.  I'm assuming then that you saw people of all ages?  I was basing my thinking on what I see in Las Vegas casinos (the few that still have Bingo).  Basically you feel like you are sitting in the middle of a retirement home.  Perhaps with more limited entertainment options on a ship they can attract younger crowds.

It seems D or No D is done differently on different ships.

I also noticed that some ships use a red button in a clear plastic case for the contestants to declare if they take or reject the banker’s Offer and some just Ask the contestant for their decision.

Yes, it was all ages. There's weren't a ton of teens or younger, of course (unless they were little kids with their parents), but it wasn't just old people. For about $45, you could win from about $100 to up to $1500 (or a free cruise under certain limited circumstances), so I'm guessing the potential windfall attracted the attention of just about anyone.

Bingo is still a being money maker for Catholic Churches and schools.   They seem to run it every week and have a number of loyal followers.   Trivia seems to have taken the place of Bingo and it very popular with a loyal and boisterous following.

Trivia only reminds me how much my 80 year old brain has forgotten........

We booked an 8 day Caribbean route on Reflection in Feb. 2024. We were hoping that Bingo will make a comeback on Celebrity ships. We recently sailed on Edge and Summit. We always write a review asking for Bingo to come back as an activity.

Does anyone have info on the return of Bongo!

Bingo is on our app daily planner for an Edge cruise out of Barcelona! It has returned.

We were on Silhouette last month. They had bingo sessions. We didn’t go but I believe it was in celebrity central.

They had it on Silhouette in May,,,the version doesn’t fit well with Brits as it is the American version with 75 balls whereas the Brit version is the 90 ball bingo.

The Brit version is faster and easier to understand.

My wife went years ago and couldn’t make head nor tail of it.
