Mooning around the Mediterranean

I’m a bit surprised, that’s not the first burnt pizza you’ve shown. I ate frequently at Spaccanapoli during the 22 days I was on board recently and never had a burnt offering like that.
Hope you’re still both enjoying your 54 days!

That pizza looks perfectly cooked to me. It's not beef, so let that fire rip, and cook it to well-done! A few charred spots are desirable.

Ron, loved your humour about the name of the port and its resemblance to a well-known GI pest. And the Kinder throwing rocks. I would have joined them, being a big kid myself...

It was off to SALT tonight. Sorry I forgot to take pictures of the menu. First the wines and their usual bread offerings.

Rojaan started with spring onion wrapped in prosciutto.I had pasta Norma a recipe of this part of

Sicily.

My pasta was good. Rojaan couldn't cut the spring onion easily. In all restaurants most knives are blunt.

Rojaan had the chicken breast stuffed with pistachios and I Kumquat glazed duck.

Both good.

For dessert Rojaan had watermelon jelly and I chocolate baklava.

OK but not outstanding.

Sorry I have gone to edit on 3 occasions and deleted this extra picture however when I click save it comes back. I give up.

Okay you three, I've got to clean the coffee off the computer screen I spit all over! 😀

Tough crowd sending you lots of love Dr. Ron.

Having dabbled in politics this lot are no problem at all. I take it as a bit of fun.

i am confused about Salt, as I bought it was supposed to be regional food, but the only thing that looks regional to me is the pasta.

Yes it is supposed to be regional but from what I can gather it is dependant on the dictates of head office, which is either in Seattle or Miami depending on which information you believe, It’s not like some lines where the chef goes to the local market and buys local produce and then has free reign. What a shame that corporate don’t have the same faith in their chefs that we do.

Now we are in the Grand Harbour Valletta.Looks like a naval ship and The MSC Seaview. which went into dry dock 3 weeks before for an expected 2 week job Not expected out for another 2 weeks. Suspected to be due to engine problems.

So just across the road from the church in the last post is the Palazzo Parisio where the first garden is. They were having a big wedding later that day and obviously we were interfering with their schedule so we toured the building first;
