PMs have never been active for member use, however the Mods can PM members and each other.  EM

I am so sad to hear that private messaging is not possible.  

 

I have a cruise to Norway booked for ten months from now.  

On the roll call for the cruise, there is a post from a couple from my home town!  I would love to contact them to get their advice on air travel from Chapel Hill, NC to Norway, but CC doesn't allow me  to message them.

Being sad about this seems to be a bit dramatic but only you know how you feel.

 

Why not simply ask these people to contact you?  Post something like this on your roll call:

 

Dear @CCHandle please contact me at something@gmail.com to discuss air travel options.  

 

They will get a message on their email and can then choose to respond to you if they wish to.

"Dear @CCHandle please contact me, something at Gmail". Would help deter bot harvesters while still conveying the message.
