Why? To get in line for Rumors.

Nice.  Rumors came out when I was in High School and I added it to my collection of classic rock.  It brings back great memories.  Some may not consider Fleetwood Mac "rock," but I do.  Good music is good music.  This 🐀knows it when he hears it. 😎 Hopefully I'll be on a sailing with that performance in the future.

NCL screwed the pooch on the designing of Syd Norman’s on this ship.  It’s way too small. You have to get in line at least an hour or more ahead of time if you want a seat. They can’t move the show because the band is contracted with Syd Normans. What they need to do is offer more shows throughout the week. It’s a great show though.

The concierge can no longer reserve spots for Haven pax. There were too many complaints.

We are in 12928. Same cabin?

No 922.  All the aft OS and higher sold out in less than 1.5 days for the TA.  Surprised about storage, we had tons between walk in closet, cubbies everywhere could store for ten people all out of site.

Nice to have elevator for quick movement.

Agreed. The others are quite slow. We tend to walk instead when we have to use those

We agree on AFT elevators are slow. For some reason FWD are lightening fast.  We never wait and typically have it to ourselves or just a couple of passengers.

Rumours was the first album I ever purchased in 1977, when I was 12yo. Still one of the greatest "rock" albums ever!! I'd love to see this show, but I'm sailing Joy next in July and I'll have to settle for the Beatles in the Cavern Club. Meet the Beatles was actually the first album I owned, but my father gave it to me when I was 9.

Mudslide - and my foot is bruised but hip is ok. Luckily I fell correctly and didn’t do major damage. These decks get very slippery when wet. Thanks for asking. 🐀🤗

Staff are aware of the slippery decks and are planning on changing for Viva. They plan on a retrofit for Prima when they have a chance.  At least this is true for public decks, not sure about balcony decks.

WOW!!

They are aware of slippery decks and not putting priority

on this issue sooner.  Big safety issue here.  And I'm

sure she is not the only one this happened to.

Well, that’s too bad.  I wonder if it’s up to the Concierge weather s/he offers to seat you by going in the back entrance?

Agree about the small venue for this show.  It’s outstanding and really should be in a bigger venue.  Just not sure where given there’s audience interaction as part of the show.  That would be harder in a big venue.

For me, this is at the tippy-top of the shows NCL offers.

On the Joy in Feb/March they let us go in from the Haven (secret back entrance) and each time we took up more then 75% of the available seating.  Really small venue.  Anyway, the people in line were not very happy, but in my mind, you pay for the Haven to get perks, and this was one of them.  On Joy they did Rumors 2x, and 80s prom party, and one other night but I forget at this point... (and it was a 15 day cruise)

Could not disagree more: Haven perks are great, deserved, and appropriate when they don't unfairly shut-out the regular passengers.  Yeah, Haven guests can/should board early, have your own restaurant, get escorted to tenders early, and have reserved seating in a massive theater, but other passengers will still get on the ship, still have plenty to eat at other restaurants, still make it on the tenders, and still get a seat in a theater.  Not the same for Syd Norman's. Sorry.

By the same token, since Syd Norman's cannot provide seats for everyone, no one should be allowed to get in line prior to the doors opening either.

Can you please let me know what time the ship docks in Bermuda and what time you are allowed to start disembarking?  Thank you!!!

We docked before 8 and were cleared around 8:30.

And we are allowed to disagree.  I also get into the other restaurants at times that they tell you are not available or have no reservations left, that is another perk of the haven.  You get what you pay for is what I say, but again, we can disagree.

Hidden gems was an awesome excursion. We went to Tom Moores jungle, swam in a cave, did some cliff diving and enjoyed a private snorkel beach.

Food looks good. Pictures are great. Not sure I would swim in the caves but the rest looks so beautiful.

Oh thank you for the review of Hidden Gems! We've tried three times and struck out three times (twice the ship didn't get to Bermuda, once the weather didn't cooperate). It sure looks, and sounds, like exactly what we want. We'll keep it on our list and eventually have a memorable day. Appreciate you keeping us updated on your cruise.

you pay to be escorted to syd norman's?

where is that listed as a haven benefit?  i'm not being a smart aleck; i'd just like to know.

most commonly, i see the haven concierge and butler benefit described as offering help in booking "dining and entertainment" reservations and shore excursions. syd's is certainly entertainment, but they don't except reservations, so, i'm baffled as to why getting into an incredibly small venue is an expectation of some haven guests. i've been a haven guest several times and didn't have that expectation.

if, as reported upthread, haven guests are occupying 75% of the seats at some shows... that's just wrong on many levels. for starters, haven guests do not comprise 75% of the ship's passengers, so the ratio for the potential benefit is way off. i'm not saying that a mistake was made by stating that haven guests were 75% of the audience. i'm saying it would be a pretty dumb decision to let a small percentage of the ship's guests "rule the roost" in a public venue.

the analogy to being able to get a restaurant reservation on short notice when none are otherwise available is an apples to oranges thing... you're asking for one reservation for (presumably) two or four people in a restaurant with a capacity that far exceeds syd norman's. the butler or concierge is not escorting dozens of people en masse to cagney's, i can assure you.

as far as disagreeing... what we're really disagreeing about is whether an individual haven guest feels comfortable accepting such a perk. we can't disagree about whether or not it's the butler's or concierge's job to get haven guests into syd norman's.

it is not.

I will answer this simply by saying there are many haven perks that are not listed on paper.  I am not expecting or asking for them, but I do accept them when offered.
