I’ve read in a bunch of places that it’s not an issue to bring booze onboard in Europe, but that concept is so foreign to me I’ll believe it when I see it…..

I did the Horizon TA from Barcelona - there's a duty free shop in the terminal, so I boarded and dropped off my stuff and went back out to shop lol.  Then at the end I had 4 bottles of wine that I ended up not drinking and didn't feel like trying to take home, so my cabin steward was very appreciative.😊

Great to know, thank you for the tip!

It's extremely popular due to being an inspiration to JK Rowling, author of the Harry Potter books. There's a cover charge and at times you need to pre-book as fans of the wizard flock to the place.

Did they by chance have Dr. Pepper?  Or, at least, coca-cola?

I can't stand Pepsi and I don't drink coffee, but I need my caffeine.

The nice thing about the admission charge is that it can get applied to a purchase in the bookstore. It's really remarkable inside! original_6d2c1009-6851-4a16-9428-b489400b84e5_PXL_20220602_104321366.thumb.jpg.14f6a3b0b586d478e66a74323e1164b3.jpg

I didn't pay attention to the soda because Carnival still had Coke onboard back then.  But I hope for your sake they have good soda - I share your aversion to Pepsi. 💀😝

Came to finish off where I left off on Jamman's Celebration review when I saw this.

Woweee what an itinerary! I just got back from my first 9 nighter with 6 port stops on NCL and loved it. I am slowly and I mean slowly working my way up to an epic trip like yours.

I will be following along with envy and excitement, safe travels!

A visit to Bilbao is incomplete with out visiting the Guggenheim Bilbao.

This is high on my list, but @HelloItsMeB was a tough sell. We're heading to San Sebastian for the day, but if time allows or we ever get back, I'll definitely get to the Guggenheim.

For your Le Havre stop may I recommend Honfleur.

Absolutely gorgeous. I've never been to Paris, so I'm obligated to make that trip this time, but this honestly looks way more my speed. Thanks, @kwokpot, your recommendations are wonderful. Any food thoughts from this voyage? Your food pics always get me excited!

WARNING: The longer cruises really spoil you! Don't get me wrong, I'll still jump on a shorty with the best of 'em, but once you go long, you never go back.. wait... that's not how that goes...

The cable car up to the top to see the Rock of Gibraltar and the monkeys was fun.

This is DEFINITELY on our radar! Looks like the tunnels are closed during our trip, but we were planning on doing Gibraltar on our own anyway, and the cable car is a big part of that. 10-1 odds a monkey steals something from me.

Until you have eight port days in a row and just want a nap, but it is debarkation day, and you have to catch a flight.

We had our two sea days in the front.  I think most passengers would have liked the itinerary modified to have one sea day somewhere toward the end. This is the Rome round trip 10-day including Greek Islands.

My only suggestion is not to be afraid to order from The Menu del Dia in whatever country your in. They are a tremendous value and ARE NOT just for tourists nor are they tourist rip-offs. In fact it's just the opposite, it's what the locals order from. Here is a little restaurant in Vigo we went to. Three courses for 15 Euros and the food was amazing.
