What is your favorite food item on HAL ? Where did you get it ?

We've got several......from Dive in Burgers on Lido to escargot in the MDR.

 

My favorite lido lunch dessert though is the bread pudding.

 

Even the pea soup at the Dutch Cafe is worthy......

I am addicted to the Raisin Buns served in the Lido at breakfast time!

Pastrami sandwich with double the meat. I only get it once a cruise, since it's terrible for me, but it's a hands down favorite. Everything else is great...I'm not cooking.

The fries 🍟 at the Dive in...DH calls them crack fries , rather addictive 😋

Second vote from me about the Dive in fries - at least the ones on NA sailings. The ones I had on my Norway cruise were Dutch-style fries and not addictive at all.

Bami Goreng (Indonesian noodle dish) at the Lido buffet, pea soup on Alaska cruises, and sticky buns every morning for breakfast.

 

Also if you happen to be on a ship / cruise where they are making poffertjes - not to be missed - like a small, puffy pancake - served with icing sugar, jam, syrup, etc.

My wife loved the Dutch Cafe, and I was surprised at how good the pizza was in the New York Deli and Pizza.

FlaMariner - I agree with you. I loved the pea soup at Dutch Cafe on Niew Statendam. 

My stepfather got the bread pudding for dessert at Lido every day at lunch.

MONGOLIAN BARBECUE LAMB CHOPS at the Tamarind comes with bok choy and I'll have a side of Asian eggplant.

 

Favorite snack is the Frites with peanut sauce from GDC.

Shrimp tacos I had in the MDR aboard Ms Rotterdam.  For some reason, they were outstanding.  Have had them since….just not the same.

Bossche Bol they are called, and they are the reason why I am no longer allowed to go anywhere near Dutch Cafe by my wife. 🤪

Ohh this sounds good - was this in the MDR?  What ship were you on?

Sounds like we have another fan of the GDC!!

For those who don't have a Grand Dutch Cafe (only on K'dam, NS, and Rotterdam) if you're on an AK cruise, they hand out pea soup when you go to Glacier Bay. Yummy!
