Hello fellow Carnival cruisers!!

I will be onboard Carnival Magic in 4 weeks and soooooo excited.

I did watch lots of youtube video and found many answers to my questions but need some more help from recent Magic cruisers!!

any info would be appreciated.

1. Do they allow crocs on Ropes course? Or Do I have to wear sneakers?

2. I never used sports court on any ship but my kids are now grown and want to play some sports there.  How do they operate/manage sports court? Is there open gym/play time and you just show up? Any restrictions?

3. For first time ever I purchased Carnival shore excursion- I always wander on my own lol - what is the process for ship sponsored excursion? Do we receive any wristbands? Where and what time do we meet? It’s Resort World Bimini beach pass.

4. I purchased Premium Wifi package for 3 people. How do we connect to premium wifi onboard? Will I receive 3 different wifi passwords? Do I need to switch to airplane mode?

5. How and where do I add my credit card for onboard spending?

6. Can my minor kids use their room key card to purchase drink/mocktail/coffee/candy without any restrictions?

7. Do I need to register my kids at Ocean camp and Circle C on day 1? any meet and greet time for 14 year olds?

Thank you so much in advance!!!

I'll answer the ones I know lol

3, you'll get an envelope with tickets and instructions on when/where to meet.

5. When you check in to embark.

6. Up to you, you can add a daily limit or fund it.

7. Used to be able to do that online, been a while since I cruised with kids that young!

Regarding 6 Do I need to take any action? I do not want to add a daily limit.  Their cards are automatically linked to credit card I added, correct?

3: I assume we would receive an envelope the night before?

thank you!!!!

Yes, they will all be linked to your card. I would strongly suggest putting some limit on it. That arcade can add up quick!

For the excursion, we've had them all in the room at embark, and we've had them delivered prior day...so maybe 🙂 Hopefully someone more recently on the Magic can answer!

3.  there are two different Resorts World areas on Bimini, if you havent already check out a couple videos on the excursion.  one is the casino/hotel which is clearly not the one you booked.

if memory serves the beach area (at least one of them) doesnt have public restrooms. it was a deal breaker for us for one of the ship excursions but i'm not sure that that's the same excursion you booked.

1&2 Have never done or used either. I would not wear crocs on the rope course.

3. Tickets will be left in your cabin with instructions

4. Always be in airplane mode while on board. If you purchased 3 individual wi/fi packages, each will log on with the S&S card number. If you purchased one package everyone can sign on, one at a time using the purchasers S&S card

5. Add it on to your cruise boarding info or at check in at the cruise terminal

6. Yes, you have to add funds to their S&S card. Suggestion, only give them a daily amount on their cards. Kids blow right through S&S card funds, mostly playing video games.

7. Yes . One of the first things to do. Don’t know. Have never seen the topic anywhere.

Looks like your questions have been answered. I just wanted to add that I went to Bimini twice last year. This is a port where I would skip an excursion. Once you get off the ship, if you walk down the end of the pier (or wait for the excursions to clear out and you can take the free trolly) there is a shopping area right there. There is a beach there but it wasn't clear to me if you could swim or sit on the beach for free. Also right there are taxis.  We took a taxi to town and it was $5 per person each way.  They dropped us off "in town" which was about a 15-2 minute ride. In town was a little shopping area, hole in the wall restaurants, and a beautiful free beach.  In the alternative, lots of people rent golf carts and drive the island themselves.

BImini is a beautiful island and the people are great. A lot of people don't care for it but I like it better then Nasssau/ Freeport.

Chiming in on Bimini, I agree you could definitely skip an excursion here.  We did do an excursion, for a sunken ship snorkel, and that was tons of fun, but only a few hours.  After, we decided to rent a golf cart and drive around the island a bit.  You can get to a really nice...park?  It has access to a beautiful beach area.  Not sure there were any public restrooms or anything out there, so I don't know that I would plan a beach day there, but it was a nice little trip with fantastic views.  We stopped at a few of the bars/food places on the way there and back.  Overall a fun adventure.

I would definitely say we prefer Bimini over Nassau or Freeport.

If we ended up there again, I'd probably skip an excursion, and just do the golf cart again, although I probably wouldn't mind checking out Resort World.

On the excursion pay close attention to what it says on the ticket. Usually it will be to meet on the pier. Someone will be holding a sign with your tour name on it. But sometimes you have to meet on the ship. And it could be significantly earlier than your tour time. In Gibraltar my 8:30 tour met at 7:45 and left the ship at 8am. You will usually get a wristband or a sticker with a number or a special color so people know what tour you're on. That will happen when you check in at the meeting point.

Some answers that have not been addressed:

1.  Crocs are not allowed on ropes course.  You also have to wear a t-shirt - tank tops were not allowed when we went, and you have to be "dry."

2. The sports court does have some organized sports - check the fun times when onboard.  We have played in soccer, basketball shootout, dodgeball (so much fun!) etc.  The other times courts are open to shoot or play basketball.  Seems like there were always people there.

Our two trips to Bimini were pretty basic.   Bumped into some dude with a cart at the cart rental parking lot.  some of the golf carts looked pretty rough, others were better.  he took us around the island my main focus was getting cracked conch from a shack up the road.  the lil shopping area in "town" was extremely meh.

our adult kiddos went to the beach by the pier and indeed swam for free.  this was before they had umbrellas and chairs which they had on the second trip.

second trip we just took the tram down to Resorts World beach, Resorts World casino and back.   just to get off the boat and do "something".  its easily the least i've ever done at a port of call.  although Freeport is a close second.

love Nassau.  dont get the hate at all.

1. Despite a prior post saying otherwise, crocs are in fact allowed on the rope course.  The requirement is closed toe shoe and crocs are closed toe.  Now, I don't know that it is necessarily wise to wear crocs on the ropes course, but that's a different matter altogether.

In regard to setting a limit, and I apologize if this is repeat information, I received the best advice when my kids were young and I did the following...

I set a limit of $50 on each of my kids cards. I told them whatever amount they had left at the end of the cruise they would get in cash to spend on whatever they wanted back home.

My then 9 year old spent $35 in the arcade and on candy and my then 17 year old spent $5 buying a girl a drink:)

They both had to make wise decisions... was it worth it to spend the money in the moment or wait? I actually set aside more than that just in case:) Neither one went without anything they wanted:)
