VitaminSea53 Posted August 19, 2023 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2023 I am busy packing for our upcoming cruise in a couple of weeks and I see the ‘crazy’ high temps in Rome and Barcelona. As we travel out at sea and through the Greek Islands at night - is it likely to get chilly (into the 60’s)? Do I need to pack a sweater? AND what about in the dining room (we will be in Blu) at dinner and other parts of the ship? Is it overly air conditioned to where I will need a shawl ? thanks. swigso Posted August 19, 2023 #2 Share Posted August 19, 2023 Travelling in September is one of the best times to travel in the Med. The daytime temperatures should be in the high 70’s and you should have no need for a seater. Although my wife may differ as she feels the cold more than I do 😎

FreestyleNovice Posted August 20, 2023 #4 Share Posted August 20, 2023 Just got back from Barcelona - Rome, no need for a sweater. The wind and speed of the ship will lower the feel temperature at night, for those quick after or before dinner strolls on the open decks there's no need for a sweater. Perhaps something like a light bolero to wear over a dress to cover up arms and shoulders, also good for dinner if the ship is too chill for your like. We appreciated the coolness of the ship after all the heat!
ElmaLee Posted August 20, 2023 #5 Share Posted August 20, 2023 We are just home from Barcelona to Rome sailing. No need for any sweaters at night. Inside ship is always a comfortable temperature in shirt sleeves. Decks were OK in evenings too as they are partially sheltered from breeze. During the day, off the ship it was very hot everywhere. Rare mom says Posted August 20, 2023 #6 Share Posted August 20, 2023 People differ on their tolerance for air conditioning. DH doesn't mind it at all. I usually find it chilly, so always pack a pashmina or light weight cardigan.
Rare cruisequeen4ever Posted August 24, 2023 #7 Share Posted August 24, 2023 It’s hot by day and warm to cool by night. Having a sweater is always a good idea whether it be for AC indoors or out on deck at night.
