While we had great intentions to buy those gifts, we talked ourselves out of it.  We have enough stuff in the house, and DH said he has just forgotten to wear his wedding band.  He wears a promise ring(braided silver) in the front to keep the ring from falling off.

 

We decided we would rather have something nice from our upcoming cruise.  And I ?  If one more thing comes into this house to be a decoration and dusted, besides a cat, it's a NO!!!!

I'm constantly telling friends and family that I do not want "dustables".

Without too high expectations we watched the UT v Alabama game.  Texas #11 beat Alabama #3 at Alabama.  The final score was UT 34 - Alabama 24.

🤘  I saw this was the first time UT had played in Tuscaloosa since 1902.  We both graduated from UT as did DDs and DSIL.  Younger DD's SO went to gead school there, and his father was in school there when we were there.

We planned to use the hop on hop off bus to get the lay of the land in St. John’s. Got to the purchase point before 9:30 and bought tickets for the earliest one available (11:00). We walked around and did a little sightseeing for about an hour and then went back to the starting point for the Ho-Ho. When the bus showed up at 11:00 no one got off from the 9:00 run after riding it all the way around. Only eight more people out of the forty tickets sold were able to join the bus. We opted to get our money back and then walked up the steep St. John’s hills and stairs to the Basilica of Saint John the Baptist, The Anglican Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist, the zero mile marker for the Trans Canada Highway, and a few other sites before returning to the ship for a late lunch where we were greeted by the same Newfoundland dog that greeted  @Crazy For Cats

Healing thoughts for Baby Murphy and @rafinmd hope you have a mild case of Covid and that you are feeling better quickly.

Even better!   Make sure it is dark chocolate and the good stuff like you get in the Pinnacle.
