Hotel recommendations for Vancouver BC

 We will be spending one night in Vancouver at the end of our cruise.  Does anyone have a recommendation for a hotel that is within walking distance of restaurants etc.  I know this has been discussed on this forum but cannot find it with my search capabilities.

Hyatt Regency Vancouver... 3 blocks up the street and great use of Hyatt Points.

We booked Pan Pacific when Delta changed our flight times.  We decided to stay an extra day to avoid anxiously getting to the airport, clearing customs and boarding our flight after debarking.

When we were there a harbor view room, breakfast and luggage transfer was included. We handed off our bags to a bellman (who adamantly refused to accept a tip) when we were ready to check out then we didn't see the bags again until we were on the ship.

While further away from the pier, we had a great stay at the JW Marriott last August after cruising Alaska.

A few miles from the pier, but lovely. Is part of the Parq casino complex and adjacent to stadium where the BC Lions of the CFL play. We were there on the night a game and somewhat noisy. Otherwise highly recommend.

Another suggestion ….Rosewood Georgia. Excellent hotel with great lobby bar. Dinner suggestion….Joe Fortes for seafood and steak.

The Loden.

Boutique hotel that can be booked thru American Express Platinum.

Can walk to Joe Fortes!!! We had a great dinner there.

We are staying at the Rosewood Georgia (also AMEX P) next May but have no actual experience.  Thanks for the Joe Fortes recommendation.  Anyone eat at St Lawrence or "Black & Blue"?

 

Looks like a fun town.

Thanks for all the recommendations, lots to look at to decide.  As far as dinner at Joe Fortes, while it sounds great, we will just be getting off of the Explorer, but will check it out.

We've stayed several times at the Pan Pacific.  The Fairmont is quite nice too.  And I agree Joe Fortes is wonderful.

Second the fairmont pacific rim.  Great stay great views across street from port.  The raw bar in the lobby had amazing sushi.
