The premier has been so worth it for us on our B2B here on the Majestic.  We have gone to such excellent dinners in both Harmony and The Catch by Rudi.
I love the photos and the premier brand label wines!  Sit down pizza for lunch or dinner was remarkable on a busy sailing.  Vines has a wonderful charcuterie board and crudités, as well.
Interestingly enough, we did take advantage of the premier seating and we are so glad we did.  The first leg of this sailing was at full capacity and we would have likely not gotten a seat in the new production show.
For us, it is so worth it!  For others, maybe not so much. I really think it sends on how much higher end liquor and wine you drink and how long your cruise is.  It’s maybe worth it for a week long cruise or shorter … for anything longer than 10 days,I’d have to question upgrading to it.

And we always sail on 10 to 21 day cruises I don’t mind payin $3.54 for an upgraded glass of wine in Vines

You are so right!  Each package suits different people.  What’s right for us, may not be right for someone else.  Or, it may be right this time for us, but not the next time.  It’s all about personal choice.  If you don’t want a package or the Plus works well for you, then that’s what you should choose.

Obviously, Premier is not the right choice for everyone.  I would never try to talk anyone out of a Plus or Premier package or talk anyone into purchasing either one.  Or try to tell people my choice is the best choice.  Why do some people feel it’s necessary to judge what choices others make?  Why on earth do they even care?

I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the Premier package on your recent cruise.  Thanks for reporting back to us, much appreciated.

So what if Premier works for me but Plus works for my husband? I know that if one gets Plus, the other has to get Plus but can one have Plus and one have Premier?

I do not believe that is possible

My wife doesn’t drink that much at all but don’t stand between her and the Smooth Sailings at Wakeview bar.  Love the medallion, we would walk up and immediately you would hear Smooth Sailing for the lady and you sir? The medallion always knows….and I discovered Mojitos without sugar!

@Cruise Raider how did you like Catch by Rudi?

Glad premier is working out so well for you.

The Catch by Rudi is the most incredible restaurant we’ve ever experienced!  We went twice and have another reservation in a couple of days.
The food and service are outstanding!
I rarely take photos of my food but wow, the presentations were so beautiful.  It is truly a special restaurant!  It’s more of an experience than just a meal.

@Cruise Raiderthank you for those pictures.  The food looks incredible!  I've got one reservation for it on the Sky and think I'll go make another night there.  It's nice to see the premier is working out well as we have it on our sailing. I'm a huge fan of Jordan.

Enjoy the rest of your sailing!

Yep - looking forward to booking on the SUN P next year  -  may have to ask to hold the tomatos, but will prolly just move them aside for my wife.  2 specialty dinners with the 5 day Premier - may eat there twice if available.

Oh yes, the Jordan was also wonderful.  Another one perk of the premier package is getting discounts on bottles of wine.  I think the same discount may apply to the plus package.  Not all wines are sold by the glass and we took a special friend out to The Catch that night so wanted a special bottle to share.

We were speaking to Chris, one of the special events coordinators for Princess, yesterday and he explained that on the Discovery, they will be swapping out the venues where Sabatini’s currently is for The Catch by Rudi.  It has been reported that many people don’t like the open atmosphere.  We actually loved it!

We also have it booked twice for our next cruise on Enchanted.  Premier is working for us.

The discount on bottles of wine does happen on the plus package we use it often

My favorite inclusion in Premier is the reserved seating for the Production Shows.  Leave the dining room at 7:15 for a 7:30 show.  All seats are taken but the reserved Premier.  They are held until 7:25 pm.  We take two seats.  I know there is no cost associated with the reserved seating, but my time is definitely worth something to me.  No looking for a seat.  We know exactly where we can sit.

Hoping that the ships carry a good stock of Whispering Angel Rose, especially at Vines, our go to place for pre dinner cocktails.

We didn’t use Vines on our Sky cruise in September (too busy and could never get a seat) but I had no problem getting Whispering Angel in the Crown Grill bar which we used on several occasions. Got a very nice Cloudy Bay in there too!

That would work for us, too.  We prefer 7:30ish, but that time tends to book up really fast.  I’m going to try to prebook as long as the app accepts the reservations as complimentary.  Good to know that at least they’ve got you covered in case you don’t prebook.  Thanks!

We have the Premier deal . The app allowed us to make the 2 "complimentary" reservations but also charged our credit card . There are several threads here that confirm this hiccup . We cancelled and rebooked several times but still were charged . We are now forced to queue up at guest relations to get a refund

I guess we were lucky, both of ours went through as complimentary.  The bill showed the price and the total payable was zero.

We were also successful in using our complimentary dining credits. I have a feeling this is the norm but the people who have issues are louder and rightfully so.

We’ve been successful in the past but also had it charged.
They are leaving a certain number of reservations open to be made while onboard to correct this issue. It looks like they are now selling more of the packages and not offering the free specialty dinners in the promos.  They are offering lunches instead of dinners to use the package credits.  I think it’s a smart move!
anyway, even though you may not be able to get reservations ahead of time via the app, we have not had a lot of trouble getting them while onboard in the recent months.

We have the Premier package for an upcoming sailing in July. The app recognized our credits, but required a CC number before we could reserve. After reading the complaints on here of being charged, I ended up going to the website version, and was able to make a reservation for Crown Grill and Catch by Rudi without entering any payment information. Afterwards I went back into the app and was able to verify that the reservations were there.

That's exactly what I did.  I made a two extra after that and paid for them but the first two are with the premier credits.

if I may ...

what is your cruise status - captain's level and cabin type

also - casino cruise?

paid in full? - not for next July, right?

that's encouraging for our cruise next November 2024 - may go into the website and see what happens
