Tiny_Tim Posted October 25, 2023 #1 Share Posted October 25, 2023 It's been MANY years since I've been on this board but we're now thinking of going on a Mediterranean cruise with a heavy Italian schedule. I would like recommendations of the best cruise lines (service, etc.) that have (1) a cigar lounge onboard and/or an outside smoking area and (2) a good gym. I've seen some horrible reviews of some cruise lines and need input from someone who has sailed this area with similar requirements as me. Your input is appreciated. leaveitallbehind Posted October 25, 2023 #2 Share Posted October 25, 2023 I think RCCL's Liberty of the Seas is the only remaining ship in their fleet with a cigar lounge, although that may have changed. Cigarette smoking is permitted in all of their casinos and on one outside pool deck. IMO all of the RCCL gyms are good.
Rare mom says Posted October 25, 2023 #3 Share Posted October 25, 2023 (edited) Several of Princess's ships have a cigar lounge. They all have a couple of outside smoking areas. Can't comment on the quality of the gyms. You'd have to check if any of their Med ships have the cigar lounge. MBP&O2/O Posted October 25, 2023 #4 Share Posted October 25, 2023 Silversea have several ships with 'Italy intensive' itineraries. They have a cigar lounge and, I believe, an outside area for smoking. Downside is $$$$ 😏
Rare Essiesmom Posted October 26, 2023 #5 Share Posted October 26, 2023 (edited) MSC has cigar rooms on a number of their ships. In the Lirica class, there are lounges on Armonia and Sinfonia. All of the Musica class have one. I can’t recall if there was one on Divina, and I don’t remember seeing one on Seaside. I’m not familiar with the other classes, but a question on the MSC board here might get you some answers. All have gyms, don’t know what constitutes good. Being an Italian line they do a lot in the Med. EM Just checked and Divina and others in the Fantasia class have a cigar lounge just aft of the casino.
