Dog House Open Late Night on Allure

I’m not sure if I somehow missed it or if Royal is testing out a new late night option (which many feel is lacking) but when we left the 10pm aqua show last night I noticed the Dog House was open.

According to the app, it closes at 6pm & then reopens from 10:30-1:30am.

 

I’m not sure hot dogs are what people want but at least it’s something.

People may not want hot dogs, but hot dogs on that deck vs. having to go down to Sorrento's would be enticing for many.

Lots of complaints about the late night food offerings.  At least this is one more choice

Agree that it is another option. Let's face the truth, a few drinks need some type of complimentary food substance to dim the effects Drinking on a light stomach will do that to most people.

 

No one is expecting a culinary experience at that time of night.

 

Another option is nice.

Kool. Back 20-25yrs ago you could get free Pizza, Hot Dogs or Hamburgs all day until 3-4am. Food offerings been limited a while now. Radiance Dog House been only open Noon-5:30pm. Hot Dogs and buns are not usual ones usually served in WJ's, had my first last week. Grand Daughter had a quite a few on our 16nite Cruise and agree wasn't bad..

Agree, though choices/hours are limited compared to years ago. I once tried to eat all 13 meals served onboard in a Day, was about done by Tea Time. Though still did Dinner in Main Dining and the Midnight Buffet

Late night dining should only consist of very specific cuisine and can vary geographically - White Castles, Whataburger, Jack in the Box, etc.  So hot dogs don't seem too far off the mark.

Royal is TERRIBLE for late night offerings.  Thanks for posting this OP. At least it's another option.

When was the last time any RCI ships had a midnight buffet? I think I remember going to one on the Explorer of the Seas back in 2014. That was the last time I can recall seeing one.

That would be at the very end of Midnight buffets.

We'll be sailing on the Allure in 3 weeks so good to know there is another option to Sorrentos, thanks for sharing!
