Rare Kristelle Posted November 28, 2023 #53 Share Posted November 28, 2023 lady behind you looks like she is wearing a nice dress - my guess is she had slip on or slide on type shoes and had just slid them off under the table while she is sitting down (Ive been know to do that )- not that she wasnt wearing any. Rare MicCanberra Posted November 28, 2023 #54 Share Posted November 28, 2023 ??? I don't see a lady or a dress. It is a bit hard to tell but looking at the clothes, they look like a shirt with shorts, and legs and feet look male to me. However, they may have had scuffs or thongs on that have been slipped off, there seems to be something under the table.
Gwendy Posted November 28, 2023 #55 Share Posted November 28, 2023 On Melbourne Cup cruise on Encounter there were a number of people who thought they were at home and had bare feet in buffet, in bars on decks etc
Rare MicCanberra Posted November 28, 2023 #56 Share Posted November 28, 2023 I consider the Cabin to be my home, the corridor the street and the rest of the ship public areas, shopping mall, restaurants, public pool, casino, etc. Therefore, I generally treat most of the ship as being out in public. I can never understand how some people don't and also allow young kids to be unsupervised throughtout, especially late at night. they wouldn't do it at home and allow their kids to wander the streets and bars? or would they?

Ondine Posted November 29, 2023 #58 Share Posted November 29, 2023 (edited) My pet hate was a dude who wore a cowboy hat to dinner in the main dining room on Grand Princess each night last month. Never took it off. Not sure where he tied his horse up. His lady wore normal clothes. In fact I don't like seeing men keeping their hats on at dinner at all especially the ones who wear baseball caps backwards. Guess I am old fashioned. Or come to think of it why people are wearing parkas on formal nights in the dining rooms. Edited November 29, 2023 by Ondine

Just a bit of empathy 😉 2

But my point is the same, probably had slip on type shoes he just slid off under the table while sitting down. I don't see an issue with that, nobody is looking under the table at your feet. If someone is wearing a hat all the time, I give benifit of the doubt that they have a personal reason for doing so.

It left his head the moment he walked inside, let alone waiting for a venue that requires hats/caps to be removed. Anything is possible, but for most I have met, it is purely about modesty. NSWP Posted November 29, 2023 #67 Share Posted November 29, 2023 My golf club ..Catalina has gone to the pack, baseball caps allowed front or rear facing. However the good old Rissole , soldiers club bans hats and caps, bit of decorum in the forum.

A staff member approached me and asked to take it off, which I did. They were shocked, 10 minutes later the manager asked me to put my hat back on. Lol. P.s I had lost my hair and colour due to chemo, it was a bit freaky.

Looking at the latest crime statistics involving teens it seems some parents have little interest or control over their children.

Like you said, anything is possible Like Miccanberra above who had lost hair from chemo.

Yes the shorts and long socks were quite the thing in the 70s and 80s. It was more the short socks and sandals with shorts which was not a good look.

Long socks, tailored shorts and leather shoes looked good back then.
