Things are already beginning to spiral out of control here at work, but that's nothing new. Always happens on the day before my vacation. Just gotta keep my eye on the ball... "Be the ball Danny"

ALWAYS!

Now I think I know why the hotels were so expensive in Miami this weekend. The largest fitness convention in the world is in town, and happening right there at Bayside Marketplace... Restaurants are probably going to be packed downtown as well.

We are on Celebration 2/25/2024 - Miami hotels are sky high that weekend!  I realized yesterday the SOBE Wine & Food fest is 2/23-2/26, so that explains that!

Saturday the 24th is the Celebrity Chef Pickleball Tournament for a thousand bucks a pop, maybe we'll try to scope from afar...🤣

Looks like the work day has FINALLY leveled off, and I'm on the official less than hour and a half countdown to vacation. I sorta need to stop by the bank, but then again I think I have enough cash at home to bring with me on the trip. I would like to pick up some limes for margaritas though...

No more drama at work before it was time to go, then a quick stop by Whole Foods for a couple of fat limes... The final load of laundry is in the washer, and I'm in for the night. Limes are squoze and the first margarita is in hand... I'm going listen to some old CDs and do some packing per tradition, and I should be fully packed and ready to roll out before I even go to bed tonight. Dinner is just going to be the leftover chicken wings and fried green tomatoes. I've also got a sad head of broccoli I bought the other day with good intentions, so I might even steam that up too. Or, it could possibly go out with the morning trash, who knows...

What I DO know, is that I'm OFFICIALLY ON VACATION!!!...

You use both Cointreau and Grand Marnier in your margaritas?🍹

LOL, I was going to ask the same question. Sounds great!

Also note to self that the past tense of squeeze is "squoze" 😉

Re sad broccoli… if I can make a yummy suggestion… toss in small amount (1-2T) oil, coarse salt, maybe a bit of rind from one of your squozed limes, and roast in hot oven (375-450ish) on a cookie sheet stirring a few times for 10++ minutes to almost charred. Yum - you’ll eat the whole amount of broccoli. So good.
