Drinks On Us Offer -

Has anyone used this offer?  I understand it only applies to one person.  Can you use it in the dining room? Can you use it for coffee? I noted in the "terms and conditions" that it may not be available on embarkation day due to state laws but wondered what states other than Texas where that restriction would apply.

If it’s the one for anywhere on the ship, it’s basically the same as cheers. So yeah, dining room, coffee, etc. Not sure what places it doesn’t apply to on the first day other than Texas. You can use it in Florida for sure.

If it is drinks on us everywhere, yes, it is good in the dining room, coffee, anywhere drinks are

served, if it is drinks on us in the casino, then only can it be used in the casino while actively playing on machines, or table games, I know some people will state that they have been given to them if just standing by a machine,

Depends on the offer.

Drinks On Us is only valid in the casino, while playing. Drinks On Us Everywhere, is essentially Cheers.

Drinks in the casino offer...how does this work (I understand you have to be in the casino and playing) but do you go up to the bar and ask for a drink? Or do you have to be sitting at a machine and they come and ask you? Is there something put on your card to let them know you have this?

You have to order it from a roaming server.  If they are not around, you can walk up to bar, find a server (not a bartender) and order it there.  They will bring it to you.  Nothing on your card, but once they enter your folio number, the server knows it is free.

@mitsugirly since you're going to be on the Panorama, that ship doesn't have a bar in the casino. when I was on her, there were at least 4 servers in the casino. If the casino is packed, and it was every night when we were on her, it might be hard to get a server's attention. We got great service as we tipped for every drink brought to us.

Coffee is sometimes available on the DOU (casino) only if they have coffee machines at the bar or the coffee shop is very close/

I usually start with a $5 to get that quick return visit, then a couple bucks a drink.  If the same server takes good care of me for the entire cruise I'll give them a $20 at the end.

I've found that the free drinks in the casino can be very hard to get sometimes with just the standard 18% gratuity already figured in.  Your mileage may vary.

I tip a buck on a drink order, the servers ALWAYS know where you are!
